Kenbu kai Okinawan Goju-ryu Karate-do Kobudo Kyokai

Kenbu Kai Okinawan Goju-ryu Karate-do Kobudo Kyokai is a martial arts organisation teaching authentic traditional okinawan karate and weaponry.

Okinawa=small Japanese island considered to be karate birth place
Kara=empty/chinese
te= hand(s)
do=way
Kobudo= old/back (Ko) martial (bu) do (way): Old martial way (weaponry)
Kyokai= encorporation/fusion (of karatedo and kobudo)

KOGKK Kyokai is the pride of Okinawan budo and is affiliated to the International Karate-do Kobudo Organisation (IKKO) headed by Kaicho Hanshi Imtiaz Abdulla (8th Dan)

Karate is not a sport. It is a martial art designed to provide effective self defense. However we also enjoy sport karate which is a pure sport providing opportunity for recreation, association and youth development.

Kenbu Kai Okinawan Goju-ryu will be closing for the December holiday on 16th December 2021. As they say, too much of everything is not good. The body needs to rest and recharge. Karate-do is a way of life, it is a discipline of the body, mind and spirit. It is such a humbling experience to study this oriental art. I want to thank all our followers and disciples for their ongoing support.
