Nathan Chase raced the European Junior Cup Jurmala (Latvia) today, following on from his race in Moletai (Lithuania) last week. The field promised to be very competitive with 62 participants including teams from strong triathlon nations like France, Germany, Hungary and Belgium.

Nathan had a good swim to come out mid pack, then rode his way to the front of the bike leg and into a 2-man breakaway with South African Anthony Clayton. They entered transition with a few seconds gap, whereupon Nathan ran a personal best on his 5km - just not enough to hold off the strong European runners, finishing 22nd.

Nathan’s race experience and performance is improving race upon race, good preparation for World Championships to be held in Pontevedra (Spain) in September 2026.

NASFED has named its team for the 2026 World Aquatics Junior Open Water Swimming Championships taking place in Santa Fe, Argentina from 3-6 September 2026. The team comprises Alex Marggraff, Riley Bergh, Madison Bergh, Tristan Nell and coach Jörn Diekmann.
