Stage 1
Earlier concerns around foot-and-mouth disease forced route adjustments, removing several iconic single tracks. The revised course favored district roads, setting the stage for high-speed racing.
Marco drove the pace relentlessly, disrupting the rhythm of the peloton and testing the endurance of the competition.
A brief encounter with a Black Mamba in the single track section added drama, but the GC contenders remained composed. In the final sprint, Jaedon and Travis contested fiercely for the stage win, missing victory by a mere two inches.
Stage 1 Results:
Joubert & Nortje: Maintained GC lead, 4th in the sprint.
Trelouw & Stedman: 2nd place in sprint finish
With the Queen Stage looming tomorrow, the team is poised to capitalize and extend their advantage in the General Classification.

Sani2C 2026 Toyota Specialized Imbuko Updates:
Prologue
The opening prologue was a fast 40-minute circuit around the Underberg. Altitude proved a challenge, as Marco reflected: “After thirty minutes I felt the altitude and my lungs were burning, but knowing the yellow jersey was possible made me push through the pain.”
Despite the conditions, Marco and Tristan launched a decisive attack in the final 10 km, claiming the yellow jersey and securing a 40-second advantage over their nearest rivals. Meanwhile, Jaedon and Travis delivered a strong ride to finish third, keeping themselves within striking distance, a crucial safeguard should the lead team encounter mechanical issues or misfortune.
Prologue Results:
Joubert & Nortje: 1st place, Yellow Jersey
Trelouw & Stedman: 3rd place|
