" Shimmy for Shelter" is the initiative of Sascha Olivier-Sampson, founder/instructor/choreographer/dancer for Moon Goddess Dance Studio. It is the Namibian contribution to World Belly Dance Day, an event which happens annually on the 2nd Saturday of May. It is always the biggest honor to share the stage with The National Ballet School, and we're so excited to be able to do so again this year. After delighting audiences with their showstopper performance of Peter Pan, they now join in our fundraising efforts and we look forward to seeing their beautiful performances
