We’re incredibly proud of Coach Fenestha Pienaar and Helmut Ekandjo, who are representing NUST Hockey at the Namibia vs South Africa Women’s Indoor Hockey Test Series, taking place on home soil in Windhoek from 9–11 October 2026. 🇳🇦🏑❤️

Fenestha continues to make her mark in the sport as an umpire, while the series marks a special milestone for Helmut as he makes his first appearance on national duty as part of the Technical Officials team. A fantastic achievement and an exciting step forward in his hockey journey.

We’re proud to see our members taking up these opportunities, growing in their respective roles, and contributing to the game beyond the field of play.

Congratulations to both! Wishing you all the best as you represent with pride. 💙👏🏽

Since 2022 when he joined us, Tawana has been so much more than just a player. He became a friend, a coach, a mentor, and someone we could always count on. He became family. 💙

Over the years, he has left his mark on NUST Hockey in ways that go far beyond the field. His presence, support, and contribution to the club are things we will always be grateful for, and his absence will be felt deeply by the Navy Blue Army.

Tawana, as you move on to your next chapter, we hope you know just how much you mean to us. No matter where life takes you or where you end up, you will always have a home in the NUST Hockey family.

And so, with heavy hearts and endless gratitude, we officially retire jersey number 18. A small gesture for someone who has given so much to our club, and a lasting reminder of the place you will always hold in our family.

Thank you for the memories, the lessons, the laughs, and everything in between. This may be a farewell, but you will always be one of us. 💙🥹

Once a part of the Navy Blue Army, always a part of the Navy Blue Army. 💙🏑

🏑🔥 BRAGGING RIGHTS & 3 POINTS SECURED! 🔥🏑

The NUST vs UNAM derby delivered, and it was the Navy Blue Army who walked away with the win! 💙

Both teams left it all out on the field. We fought hard, and our two goals came from Essien Nghaalulwa and Uvii Mujeu, putting us 2-0 up. 💪🏾🏑

We dug deep, defended our lead and held UNAM off to secure the clean sheet, another 3 points, and of course, the bragging rights! 🔥

🌟 Player of the Match: Essien Nghaalulwa

Essien put in a tremendous shift, giving everything on the field and playing a crucial role in helping us stay in the game and secure the win. 👏🏾💙

Well done, lads! Another 3 points in the bag and the bragging rights are ours! 🏑🔥

And just like that… our ladies closed off their outdoor season in style. 💙🏑🔥

🏑🔥 FULL TIME | PREMIER RESERVE LADIES 🔥🏑

The rain almost had us wondering if this one would happen, but our patience paid off! 🌧️🏑 After the wait, the ladies finally took to the field for their final match of the outdoor season, and what a game it was!

DTS struck early, finding the back of the net in the 1st minute, but that did not faze us. We fought back, and Pamoritha Keister got us on the scoresheet in the 7th minute to make it 1-1. DTS responded with two more goals before half time, leaving us 3-1 down at the break.

But the ladies were far from done. 💪🏾

An early goal in the third quarter from newcomer Amy Murray brought us back into the game, and the fight continued. Then, when we needed it most, NUST Hockey legend Fenestha Pienaar stepped up in the 52nd minute to find the equaliser and make it 3-3! 🔥💙

🌟 Player of the Match: Amy Murray

A fantastic performance from our newcomer, who worked tirelessly across the field and impressed with her energy, determination and all-round play. 👏🏾🏑

A hard-fought comeback and an exciting 3-3 draw to close out our outdoor season. What a way to finish on a high note! 💙🔥

Well done, ladies! What a fight! 🏑💪🏾

🏑💙 FULL TIME | PREMIER RESERVE LADIES 💙🏑

After two months away from league action, our Premier Reserve Ladies finally returned to the field under the blazing sun, taking on Saints.

The ladies held Saints at bay through the first quarter, showing great determination and discipline. Saints eventually found the breakthrough in the second and third quarters, but our ladies continued to put up a tough fight until the final whistle. 💪🏾🏑

🌟 Player of the Match: Diana Hamalwa

Diana put on an amazing performance between the posts, refusing to back down and coming up with some crucial saves to keep the team in the game. 👏🏾🔥

An unlucky result for the ladies, but plenty to build on as we look ahead. We regroup, we improve, and we go again.

Onto the next one, ladies! 💙🏑
