Created exclusively for registered Pier to Pine participants, these guided swims offer another incredible way to experience Norfolk Island’s waters during event week.

Places are limited, so secure your guided ocean swim early. You must be registered for the race before claiming your spot.

Your swim location will be selected based on the weather and ocean conditions on the day. Possible locations include The Chord, Anson Bay, Ball Bay or Bumboras, giving you the opportunity to experience a different side of Norfolk Island from the water. 🌊

MEET CLAIRE OWEN 👋
Claire from SwimLab is one of our 2027 Swim Ambassadors.

With over 30 years of experience in coaching and education, she holds degrees in Sports Science and Physical Education, plus credentials as a Personal Trainer and Advanced Swim Mastery™ Coach (and previously, Total Immersion™ Master Coach).
But her resume is just the beginning.

Claire was a competitive swimmer at national level in the UK. She spent 17 years teaching in Hong Kong where she also excelled as a triathlete, biathlete, and rugby player at elite club level.

Now based in Sydney, Claire has proven herself again as a competitive Open Water swimmer, twice winning the NSW Leaderboard Age Group title for the 5k Ocean Swim Series.

What drives Claire? A genuine passion for creating exceptional learning experiences for every swimmer, from complete beginners to elite athletes. She believes in lifelong learning and continuous improvement.

Claire will be sharing training strategies, course insights, and running coaching sessions to help you feel prepared and confident in the water.
Her coaching spots are limited and filling quickly. To book with Claire, you'll need to be registered for Pier to Pine first. These spots will go quickly.

Pier to Pine 2026 didn't happen by chance. It happened because of the people and organisations who believed in the idea before there was even a start line.
