GALANT UCHECARIA FC BOW OUT FROM THE 2025 DREAMLAND/ABIA STATE UNDER-19 CUP

After seeing their desire to emerge as champions in the ongoing Dreamland/Abia State Under -19 tournament come to a disappointing end, some positives could still be drawn from Uchecaria Football Club and Academy's participation in the tournament.

The highly rated Aba based non-league side emerged as the best team at the group stage of the tournament were they amassed the maximum 9 points in 3 games. A 1-0 victory over IBRO Int'l FC, a 2-0 Over Jazzy Stars and another 2-0 victory over Aba Madrid FC automatically made Uchecaria FC favourites to win the trophy.

But at the semi final stage where they were drawn against New Generation FC of Umuahia, the started like a house on fire and took the lead through their reliable striker Victor Ledee but ended up losing by 4-2 to the Umuahia based side.

Reacting after the match the Chairman of the side Mr Frank Chimagorom Nwachi expressed disappointment at his team's lost but still went ahead to praise them for their outstanding displays but collectively and individually.

He went further to urge their fans to keep supporting the team as the promise to do better in subsequent tournaments.

It was an entertaining 1-1 draw at the main bowl of the Dr Ogbonaya Onu Polytechnic football pitch as Uchecaria FC and FC Generals share the spoils.

FC General took the lead in the first half but Rueben Godsgift sublime free kick was enough to restore parity.

A consistent and hardworking midfielder, Joseph is regarded as one of the best up-and-coming midfielders in Nigeria he is effective both creatively and defensively.

With good technique, excellent vision, and varied passing range, he excels in the centre in a deep-lying playmaking role, where he utilizes his accurate long passing ability to create goal scoring chances for teammates, he also utilizes his powerful and accurate shot from distance, and he is also an effective set-piece and penalty kick taker.

Due to his height, positioning, and physical characteristics, Joseph is also effective in the air, often contributing with headed goals from set pieces when he advances into more offensive positions.

In addition to his creative attributes, he also excels perfectly in his primary role which is the defensive midfield due to his strength and powerful physique, combined with his tenacity, tactical intelligence, aggressive tackling and his ability to read the game.

Prosper Chinemerem Gabriel is a special talent, born in Aba and plays for Uchecaria FC.

An attacking left back, Gabriel is a physical, quick, and energetic player, who is sound both defensively and offensively, due to his work-rate, attacking prowess, technique, and stamina, which enables him to excel as an offensive–minded left-back. A versatile footballer, regarded as one of the best young full-backs in Nigeria.

He is also blessed with accurate crossing ability, which allows him to be deployed as a winger or as an attacking wing-back on either flank despite being naturally left-footed.

Unusually for a defender, he is also a free kick, penalty and corner kick specialist, responsibilities usually held by a striker or midfielder

UCHECARIA FC MASSACRES HELPLESS OHANZE ALL STARS.

After enduring a painful back to back defeat, Uchecaria FC of Aba were in their element on Wednesday, as they whitewashed a helpless Ohanze All Stars FC side in the Abia State 5 a side football tournament currently going on at Umuafor Obingwa local government area of Abia State.

A hat trick from Oscar Joseph and a goal each from Echezona Obiekwe and Chamberlain Ujoatu were enough to condemn the Obingwa based outfit to an embarrassing defeat.

Oscar Joseph hat trick has further lifted him higher on the scorers chat as he currently leads the log with 9 goals from 6 matches.
