ENYIMBA CHAIRMAN, AMB. KANU APPRECIATES GOD, GOV OTTI, STAKEHOLDERS, SUPPORTERS AND PARTNERS AFTER NPFL SEASON
The Chairman of Enyimba Football Club, Ambassador Kanu “Papilo” Nwankwo, has expressed deep appreciation to God Almighty for his guidance and protection throughout the just concluded 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
Speaking on behalf of the Board and Management of the nine time Nigerian champions, the former African Footballer of the Year said;
“Firstly, we give our gratitude to God Almighty for leading us through the league season without accidents or tragic incidents on the road, and we pray for continued success and safety in our remaining President Federation Cup matches,” he stated.
The Enyimba Chairman in a special moment expressed his profound appreciation to the Abia State Government, owners of the club, under the able leadership of His Excellency, the Executive Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, for his consistent support and commitment to the club including other sister clubs as well as sports growth and development in Abia State.
“We are highly indebted to His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, whose support throughout the season remained invaluable and encouraging to the team, other sister clubs and sports development which has improved youth development greatly in the state,” Kanu added.
"Indeed Abia has not seen it soo good regarding infrastructural development and total commitment towards youth development driven by sports, so we are truly indebted to the Governor's love and commitment which drives us in Enyimba family," the Super Eagles and Arsenal legend noted.
He further acknowledged the significant role played by the club’s stakeholders, praising their constructive contributions and guidance during difficult moments of the season.
“To our revered stakeholders, your immeasurable contributions, guidance and constructive criticism when it mattered most continued to inspire our determination to remain one of the leading football clubs in the country and Africa.”
Amb. Kanu equally appreciated Enyimba supporters across Nigeria and around the world for their loyalty and passionate followership.
“To our numerous supporters across the nation and beyond, we are deeply touched by your love and commitment to the club. Your support means a lot to us and we remain determined to reward your loyalty with greater successes and more trophies in the near future.”
The former Super Eagles captain reserved special praise for Enyimba fans, describing them as among the very best in African football.
“To our fans, you once again demonstrated why you remain the best in the country and beyond. Your chants, songs and encouragement during both good and difficult moments of the season kept the team motivated and fighting till the very end.”
The club Chairman also applauded Enyimba’s corporate and strategic partners for their continued belief in the Enyimba brand.
“To our unique partners, thank you for making Enyimba FC the envy of many. We look forward to continuing this fruitful relationship as we strive to create more memorable moments and achieve greater victories together.”
Amb. Kanu concluded by reaffirming the club’s commitment to returning stronger next season while calling on everyone connected to the club to remain united behind the Enyimba project.
