So, Ruben Amorim once told us that we weren't even close to where we needed to be to fight for the top spots in the Premier League.

It felt like he was gaslighting the supporters into accepting mediocrity.

Fast forward to now, and it’s funny how things have changed. Michael Carrick has come in and completely flipped the script.

We are currently sitting in 3rd place and have the best record in the league since he took over.

Instead of "suffering," Carrick has us returning to the Champions League next season.

It just goes to show that the quality was always there, it just needed the right leadership to unlock it.
