Saturday workouts have always been special for me. A lot of times I would go hiking with my Abuja hiking group!
Last year I started joining a Saturday morning circuit class which I absolutely loved! With Covid19 and the global pandemic, group workouts are just not on the table right now!
I really enjoy circuit workouts so I started putting together routines for myself and my friends. These are workouts you can do with or without weights, get your heart rate up and work up a good sweat!
Use this pattern to mix and match your favorite exercises! Have fun with it!

- Create : if you are spending time making things from scratch, you are occupied and not likely to be snacking.
I've wanted to make blackbean burgers for awhile so I used being home to make my own buns and patties!

No matter what line of work you find yourself chances are that you spend most of your waking hours thinking about work, thinking of where business will come from, planning, strategizing, making moves!
We give so much of ourselves to the work we do because truthfully a lot of us define ourselves - who we are - by what we do, the value we create, how much we make!
So it's extremely important that you enjoy your job, the work you do, running your business...it affects your health immensely!

Excuses and Poor meal choices are were and go to suffer and die!π©π©
Eating healthy on a busy schedule is already very challenging, finding healthy snack options is double wahala!

Go on a hike, meet up with friends, go for a swim, cook something delicious, plant a tree...reconnect with family, friends and the world around you this weekend!
Chilling, watching TV and sleeping are fine...but not for the entire weekend! You burn calories best when you are active, happy and engaged!
P.S - Moderation with food and drinks ( especially alcohol) always π

I lost over 50lbs between 2010 and 2011. Looking back at the pictures I clearly looked lean but back then I still felt overweigh and wanted to lose more weight!
Fast forward to today and I've gained some of the weight back but my body looks and feels different.
So I know the difference and understand how it works!
Losing fat vs losing muscle. Gaining muscle vs gaining fat.
I've been there, done that ππ! Getting the IFPA Personal trainer certification in 2016 also put a lot in perspective for me.
Through all this I've never been unhappy with my body, I've just always aspired for better health, better aesthetics, better performance ( I'm more than a little vain π€£)
Seriously though...no matter where you are in your fitness journey, it can be a rollercoaster of a journey - love yourself and love your body!
