4th Edition 2-Aside Legend Spikers Volleyball Tournament – 2026 🏐🔥

The 4th Edition of the 2-Aside Legend Spikers Volleyball Tournament was successfully held with great excitement, competitiveness, and sportsmanship.

Aim of the Tournament:
To promote grassroots volleyball development, encourage healthy competition, and create a platform for athletes to showcase their talent.

Objectives:
• To develop players’ technical and tactical abilities in a competitive environment.
• To strengthen unity and collaboration among clubs and coaches.
• To identify and nurture emerging talents.
• To promote discipline, sportsmanship, and the growth of volleyball in our community.

We sincerely appreciate all our supporters who contributed financially and morally toward the success of this tournament. Your generosity and belief in the vision made this event possible.

Special thanks to all coaches for releasing their players, the team managers for their coordination, and all participants for their commitment and high level of performance. You all made this edition memorable.

Congratulations to Martha and Isreal of Scorpion Spikers for emerging as the King and Queen – 4th Edition 2026 👑🏆. Your hard work and resilience truly paid off.

We thank God for an injury-free tournament and for granting everyone safe journeys back home.

Out of 10 powerful teams, Legend Spikers emerged 1st place champions today!
This victory is truly a special one for us a testament to hard work, discipline, and unity.

A huge appreciation to the organizers, Nomadic Spikers, for hosting a fantastic competition.

👏 Big congratulations to Coach Alhaji on winning his first gold medal as Head Coach, and to Coach Michael Abari for earning his first gold medal as Assistant Coach your leadership shone brightly.

Special thanks to our dedicated technical crew Mr Joe, Ms Chisom, and Mr Kingsley for their tireless work behind the scenes.

📅 Courtesy Visit – September 9, 2025

Today, a delegation from Legend Spikers Volleyball Club led by Mr. Kingsley Alika, Head Coach & Founder, together with Mr. Maxwell, Chairman of the Dual Court Project Committee, Ms. Jennifer, Financial Secretary, and Ms. Jully, a dedicated member of the club, paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador Professor Steve Davies Ugbah.

The visit centered on the development of grassroots volleyball in Abuja, the importance of sports in empowering young people, and strategies to curb insurgency by taking children off the streets and engaging them positively through sports.

For context, Ambassador Prof. Steve Davies Ugbah is a distinguished academic, diplomat, and public servant from Benue State. He previously served as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Russia and Belarus (2018–2021), where he strengthened bilateral ties and championed youth engagement through community projects. He also contested the Benue State governorship in 2011 and currently serves as Federal Commissioner representing Benue State at the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

Ambassador Ugbah warmly welcomed our team, shared invaluable insights, and pledged his support towards helping us achieve these noble objectives. His encouragement and fatherly commitment give us renewed motivation as we continue to pursue our vision of using volleyball to transform lives, unite communities, and build a brighter future for our youth.

🙏🏽 We sincerely thank Ambassador Prof. Ugbah for his time, wisdom, and promised support. We wish him continued strength, good health, and success in his service to Nigeria and humanity.
