Confession Precedes Actual Possession

Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you.—NUMBERS 14:28

Notice that even after the man with arthritis was anointed with oil and prayed for by the elders, there was still no manifestation. But they continued to confess that he was healed. You see, confession precedes possession Or we could say, “Possession follows confession.” Another way to put it is, “Faith’s confessions create realities.”
The man’s pain was gone. He was out of bed trimming a tree in his backyard. Then he drove his car. The reality of his healing was there. Well, that’s what most people want; that’s what they’re seeking. They want the reality of their healing. How do they get it? By confessing that they have it before they ever see it.

I encourage you to read through the New Testament, underlining the expressions “in Him,” “in Christ,” and “in whom.” These scriptures tell you what belongs to you in Christ. You may have read some of these scriptures before and said, “I know it says that, but it doesn’t seem real in my life. I’m going to pray that it will become real to me.” No, it won’t become real by praying! How does it become real? By confessing it.

You can read in the Bible about who you are and what you have as a Christian. But the only way it will ever become real to you is by your confession. Confession is the key that unlocks faith.

Confession:
I am a new creature in Christ Jesus. I am the righteousness of God in Christ. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. I confess these things from my heart. And as a result, I have what the Bible says I can have.

FELLOWSHIP IN PRAYER

That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. . . . But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. — 1 JOHN 1:3,4,7

If you have fellowship with God, and you’re walking in the light as He is in the light, then prayer becomes one of the greatest assets you have inherited in Christ.

Prayer is joining forces with God the Father. It is fellowshipping with Him. It is carrying out His will upon the earth.
Prayer should never be a problem or a burden to you. It should be a joy! Prayer — real prayer — won’t take anything out of you; it will always put something into you! Because you are fellowshipping with God when you pray.

Confession
I have fellowshipped with my Father in prayer. And my joy is full! I fellowship with God. I commune with God — I talk with Him, and I listen to Him — that I may carry out His will upon the earth.

Receive What God Has for You

And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.—LUKE 15:31

I received a letter some time ago that I’d like to share with you because it will inspire you and be a blessing to you.

Dear Brother Hagin,
My husband received healing through your ministry. My husband and I had begged God for years to no avail. But when we realized that healing was something we already had, and we decided to stand on the Word, it was only a matter of a few months until the manifestation of my husband’s healing began to appear. We not only stood on the Word by saying it to ourselves, we also said it to others.

My husband first became ill in 1970 at the age of forty. The diagnosis was a non-crippling, but extremely painful form of arthritis. During the last five years, my husband had to stay in bed. The only time he got up was to go to the bathroom, see the doctor, or go to the hospital when the pain got so bad that he had to have some relief. For the past two or three years, an additional nerve problem in his legs and feet caused so much pain that sleep was next to impossible. I would be awakened by his sobbing from the relentless pain that constantly wracked his body.

A couple of years ago, we turned to Jesus and got born again, but there was still no change in my husband’s body. I began reading your books, but I didn’t understand how to activate God’s power by faith and receive.

Finally, about three months ago, as I was studying the Spring Faith Food book, the revelation hit me. We began to confess our victory through Jesus. Then we joined a Spirit-filled church in our area. The elders came and anointed my husband with oil and prayed. Even though there was no manifestation of healing, we continued our faith confessions.

Two weeks ago, the pain suddenly left. A few days later, his feet began to lose their numbness. And a week ago, he trimmed a tree in our backyard. Today he took our car to be serviced. I can’t remember the last time he drove a car! He has no pain! Thank God! And thank you for teaching us how to receive what God has for us.

Confession:
I receive what God has for me by faith. By believing in my heart and speaking with my mouth, I receive salvation, healing, and all the blessings of God.

FELLOWSHIP

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. — 1 CORINTHIANS 1:9

The highest honor God has conferred upon you is to be a joint-fellowshipper with God the Father, His Son, and the Holy Spirit in carrying out God’s plan for the redemption of the human race.
By virtue of the New Birth, you became related to the Creator of the universe!

You became God’s child. You have a relationship with Him. But relationship without fellowship is a lifeless thing. It’s like marriage without love or fellowship.

Fellowship with God is the mother of faith. And God has called you individually into fellowship with His Son.

Confession
God has called me into fellowship with His Son, Jesus hrist. I will walk in fellowship and communion with Jesus. I will talk with Jesus. I will work with Jesus. I am a joint-fellowshipper with God the Father, with Jesus Christ, and with the Holy Spirit in carrying out God’s great plan of redemption for the human race.

One life can make a difference. One “yes” can create a ripple.

At the Rhema Lagos Campus Graduation, we were reminded that we are not called to simply receive the Word, but to become a reflection of it wherever we go.

We are a ripple effect.

Our faith, our obedience, our character, our gifts, and the work God has entrusted to us can reach further than we may ever realize. What God starts in one person can touch families, communities, cities, and generations.

We have been called to shine forth.
To walk by faith.
To live out our purpose.
To make Jesus known.
To do exactly what God has called us to do.

The graduation may mark the end of one season, but the ripple is only beginning 🔥.

Here’s to a generation that refuses to keep the light to itself and chooses to make an impact for the Kingdom.

Meditating and Speaking Bring the Blessings

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.—JOSHUA 1:8

The following is a word from the Lord that I received many years ago, but its truth is eternal; it applies to all of us everywhere, even today.
Take heed; listen very carefully.
For right here is where man primarily fails.
All failure in the Christian life can be found in what is being said at this very moment.
Listen carefully; listen with an open mind.
Receive it with a receptive heart.
Meditate upon it, until the truth of it you’ll find.
And then, speaking [it] forth out of your heart will cause all that’s Mine to become thine.
For many of My own children who are very sincere and honest, and even seeking to find, do not find, because they do not meditate in My Word and listen attentively to that which is said, nor [do they] continue to read My Word.
But meditating upon My Word—receiving it into your spirit and confessing, “It’s mine!”—shall surely bring the blessings every single time.

Confession:
I take heed to the Word of God. I attend to the Word of God. I receive it with an open mind and an open heart. I meditate on the Word and speak forth out of my heart, “It’s mine!”
