🇪🇹 The 23rd Ethiopian Cultural Sports Competition and 19th Cultural Sports Festival, held in the historic city of Harar, have been successfully concluded in a vibrant and dignified closing ceremony.

🔸Over several days, Ethiopia once again demonstrated the power of culture as a unifying force bringing together regions and city administrations to celebrate their rich heritage, traditional sports, and shared identity.

🇪🇹 With participation from over 1,500 athletes competing across 11 cultural sports disciplines, the festival stood as a true reflection of Ethiopia’s diversity and enduring traditions.

🏆 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬

🔸Oromia Region emerged as the overall winner, dominating the competition with 61 points

🇪🇹 In the 19th Cultural Sports Festival, South Ethiopia claimed the championship, followed by Oromia and Central Ethiopia in second and third place respectively

🎙️ Speaking at the closing ceremony, Hiwot Mohammed, President of the Ethiopian Cultural Sports Federation and Deputy President of ATSGC, emphasized the festival’s critical role in:
✔️ Strengthening unity and brotherhood among regions
✔️ Preserving and transferring cultural sports to future generations

🔸 She reaffirmed Ethiopia’s commitment to elevating its rich sporting heritage onto the global stage.

🔸 The host, Murad Abdi, expressed pride in Harar’s role as a cultural meeting point, commending all participants for showcasing discipline, excellence, and cultural pride.

👏 ATSGC extends its sincere appreciation to all athletes, organizers, and stakeholders whose contributions ensured the success of this landmark event.

This festival continues to stand as a powerful platform for:
