When Baleba returns from injury, I think Santos or Baleba should be the player partnering with Mainoo in the midfield.

Tielemans may have the prettier passes, but Baleba give you more energy, physicality, defensive cover and the ability to win the ball.

For me, that gives Mainoo a better platform to control the midfield and allows Tielemans to come on later when United need more quality and control in possession.

That would give Carrick a much better balance in midfield.”
