A 37th birthday for Rolls Reus.

Marco was named after Marco Van Basten following the legendary Dutchman's outlandish volley against USSR in the 1988 European Championship won by the Netherlands. However, he must be one of the most unlucky players in the world, having missed 5 major championships, which included 3 World Cup finals due to various injuries.

He, nonetheless brought his versatility, speed, technicality, vision and shooting skills to the 2018 World Cup, where he scored a goal in 3 matches for Germany.

Reus is a 2-time Champions League runner-up and Euro Championship bronze medalist with Die Mannschaft.

Alles gute zum geburtstag, Rolls Reus.

South Africa's team's nickname, Bafana Bafana, means Boys Boys but will this team, heavily ladened with Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates players and with just a tad of European football experience, be man enough in North America to shake tables? Fingers crossed!
