ABU ALI FOOTBALL CLUB

Abu Ali Football Club traces its origins back to the 1980s, when it was established under the name Armoured Bombers. The club was originally based at the Nigerian Army Armoured Corps Headquarters, located within Obienu Barracks, Bauchi State, Nigeria. Formed primarily as a recreational and development team, it consisted of officers, soldiers, and youth from the barracks community, with a mission to foster unity, discipline, and physical fitness through football.

On December 1, 2016, the club was officially renamed Abu Ali Football Club in honor of Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Abu Ali, a distinguished officer and passionate supporter of the team. Lt. Col. Abu Ali, renowned for his bravery and leadership, tragically lost his life in combat on November 4, 2016. In recognition of his unwavering dedication and commitment to the club and its values, the name change serves as a lasting tribute to his legacy.

Today, Abu Ali Football Club continues to serve as a platform for talent development and youth engagement within the military community. By integrating officers, soldiers, and barracks youth, the club aims to promote sportsmanship, mentorship, and positive social values, using football as a powerful tool to inspire and uplift young lives

Football is more than a game, it's discipline, teamwork, and dedication. Always respect your coaches, teammates, and opponents. Train hard, eat well, stay focused, and never stop learning. Off the pitch, be role models in your communities. Remember, talent may get you on the field, but character will keep you in the game. Represent Abu Ali FC with pride, passion, and purpose.

Good morning, everyone.

As we prepare for today's third-place and final matches at the stadium, I want to bring an important update to your attention. It has come to my notice that scouting teams will be present at the venue to observe and select talented young players for trials.

Please understand that the outcome of the third-place match is not the primary focus today. The main purpose of this game is to give players a platform to showcase their individual abilities and make a lasting impression on the scouts.

Therefore, I strongly encourage all players to put in their best performance. Play with passion, focus, and determination—you never know who might be watching and what opportunity might come your way.

To the coaches and officials in charge, I respectfully urge you to ensure that our barracks boys are given a fair opportunity to participate and demonstrate their talents. This could be a life-changing moment for some of them.

Remembering late Lt. Col Abu Ali, the finest war Hero who died while serving Nigeria.

His last command was "Gentlemen, stay alert , alive and be prayerful. I don't want any of my soldiers injured or lost his life in this operation, and if at all someone may go down, let me be the one"

Do You this ?

Boko Haram fighters once lowered and fired a 105MM Howitzer at his Tank, used a Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) to charge through his Tank and everyone ran away leaving him at liberty of the insurgents.

After two days of havoc the dogged warrior made it back.

Immediately after first-aid he went back to the front with a new T72 Tank for the unfinished business and liberated Baga.
