BAKASSI LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN ALONG WITH THE CHAPTER CHAIRMAN ADDRESSES ALL WARD EXCO ON THE IMPORTANCE OF VOTERS REGISTRATION
The chairman of Bakassi Local Government Area addresses Ward executives from all 10 wards of Bakassi Local Government on the 16th July 2026 as regards to the importance of voters registration as God have it even when the weather tried to be an impediment the atmosphere was one of purpose.
The Chairman of Bakassi Local Government Area, Hon. Effiong Okon. Beside him was the Chapter Chairman, Hon. Nsemin. The agenda was clear on Voters Registration and mobilization ahead of the general election.
Hon. Effiong Okon opened his address by stressing why the exercise matters. He told the EXCO members that voter registration is the foundation of political strength. He called on them to stand firm on the mandate of the ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS, and to work with one goal in mind: ensuring that all 5 candidates of the party are returned in the upcoming general election.
He emphasized that this can only happen through cooperation and through our voting strength,. He extensively stated that when we vote together and in numbers, Bakassi will not just participate. Bakassi will stand out at the state level and at the national level."
The Chapter Chairman, Hon. Nsemin, followed with his own charge. Speaking with authority, he reminded the ward leaders that this election is not one to be begged for. "This is an election we will win with a gap," he stated. "And that gap will come from our voting strength, from ward to ward, from unit to unit."
He urged every ward EXCO to give their best and to 'mark the party' in their respective wards, meaning to deliver the votes and protect the party’s interests on the ground.
Hon. Effiong Okon returned to close on a note of assurance. He emphasized that the Governor’s second term will be a term of social development for Bakassi. He congratulated the EXCO members for their commitment, and he also congratulated the Governor for standing with Bakassi and for believing in the people despite all odds. "For that belief, a job well done," he said.
By the time the meeting came to a close, the mood was light. There were no arguments, no tensions. The ward executives left with smiles on their faces, carrying the message back to the 10 wards:
1) REGISTER
2) MOBILIZE
3) DELIVER

RAINBOW HIGH SCHOOL
THIRD TERM REPORT
2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION
PERIOD: April 20th – July 17th, 2026
The third term of the 2025/2026 academic session at Rainbow High School commenced on the 20th of April, 2026 with the usual energy and purpose that has come to define our school community.
RESUMPTION AND STAFF ENGAGEMENT:
The term opened with a presumption meeting held on the very first day of resumption. The atmosphere was one of renewal and commitment. A majority of the teaching staff were present as the proprietor addressed the gathering. He took time to appreciate every member of staff for their dedication and outstanding performance during the second term. He urged us not to relent, but to sustain the standard of excellence we are known for, reminding us that consistency is what builds legacy. That charge set the tone for the term ahead.
ACADEMIC AND NON-ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES:
The 2025/2026 third term proved to be one of the most eventful in recent years. It was a term that balanced rigorous academics with vibrant extracurricular engagement, giving students opportunities to learn beyond textbooks and to represent the school with pride.
1. EDUCATION BEYOND THE CLASSROOM COMPETITION
For the first time in Bakassi, corp members organized a community-wide inter-school competition themed *"EDUCATION BEYOND THE CLASSROOM"*. The program was designed to test students not only in academics but also in practical skills, sports, and cultural expression.
All schools within Bakassi Local Government Area participated. The competition featured four major categories: skill acquisition, sports, quiz, and cultural activities. Rainbow High School entered with full preparation and determination.
We stood out tall in the quiz segment. Our students displayed sharp intellect, composure, and teamwork, and at the end of keenly contested rounds, Rainbow High School emerged as the winner of the quiz competition. It was a proud moment that reaffirmed our commitment to academic excellence.
2. SPORTS EXCELLENCE
The sports aspect of the competition was held in different rounds across the LGA. Our football team represented the school with discipline, skill, and sportsmanship. Match after match, they progressed until they were crowned the best team in the football competition.
The victory was celebrated school-wide. The team returned with their medals and the trophy to a warm reception. The proprietor, management, staff, and students gathered to celebrate the achievement. It was more than a win. It was proof that hard work, training, and unity produce results.
3. CHILDREN'S DAY CELEBRATION – MAY 27TH
The 27th of May brought another opportunity for Rainbow to shine. The Children’s Day celebration organized by Bakassi LGA drew students from all schools in the area to the central venue for a match pass in honor of the Chairman.
Rainbow High School turned out in full might. Our students marched with precision, coordination, and school spirit. Their outstanding performance did not go unnoticed. At the end of the parade, Rainbow High School was named the *Best Match Pass Performer of the Day*. The recognition added another laurel to the school’s record for the term and left the students motivated to keep representing the school well.
EXTERNAL EXAMINATIONS
The months of May and June were also critical for our examination classes. The school successfully hosted and supervised three major examinations:
WAEC for SS3 students
BECE for JSS3 students
MOCK Examination for SS2 students
Despite the demands of these external exams, the school maintained a balanced timetable. Teaching and learning continued effectively for the other classes not involved. The examinations ran smoothly, and we are grateful for the cooperation of staff, students, and invigilators that made it a huge success.
THIRD TERMINAL EXAMINATIONS AND CLOSING
As the term drew to a close, the school conducted its third term examination for all classes. Before the exams began, the principal addressed the students. He admonished them on the purpose and impact of examinations, reminding them that “every exam takes you a step closer to your dream.”
The students responded well. They came out to write in a calm and conducive environment, and gave their best. With the conclusion of the exams, we officially brought the term and indeed the entire 2025/2026 academic session to an end.
THE SCHOOL CLOSED FOR THE LONG VACATION ON THURSDAY, 17th July, 2026. ACADEMIC activities will resume on *MONDAY, 7th SEPTEMBER, 2026*.
CONCLUSION
The third term of the 2025/2026 session will be remembered as a term of growth, victories, and balance. Academically, our students were engaged and examined. Beyond the classroom, they competed, performed, and won. From the quiz trophy to the football medal, and from the Children’s Day award to the successful conduct of WAEC and BECE, Rainbow High School demonstrated once again that we are committed to raising well-rounded students.
We appreciate the proprietor for his leadership, the staff for their unwavering dedication, the parents for their support, and the students for making us proud.
As we proceed on vacation, we look forward to returning in September with renewed vigor for another great session.

UNADULTERATED LEADERSHIP BIRTHDAY ENCOMIUM TO ENGINEER DANIEL EDIOMO ALEXANDER
Today we honor a pillar, a shield, and a compass. Engineer Daniel Ediomo Alexander, the leader of Ediomo Empire and Providence, your birthday is not just a date. It is a testament to stewardship.
When our late father, Senior Elder Ediomo Alexander Ekpo, was called home, the ground shook. Yet you stood firm. You did not flinch. You carried the weight of our family on shoulders built by duty and love , and you carried it charismatically, with wisdom and grace.
In your hands, the affairs of this home did not scatter. They were gathered. You ensured the welfare of our mother, Deaconess Uduak Ekpo, with reverence and tenderness. You watched over your siblings with a fatherly eyes and a brother’s heart. You provided direction when they were confused, strength when they were weak, and hope when they were afraid.
As your second in command, I have watched you lead without seeking applause. You lead by example, by sacrifice, by consistency.
For this, I call you EKPE IKOT, THE LION, THE LEADER AND THE BENITO MUSSOLINI OF OUR FAMILY. A name that speaks of courage, authority, and the unshaken resolve to protect your own.
May this new year bring you health, honor, expanded influence, and the peace you have given us. I singularly celebrate you today, our leader on behalf of the family
Happy Birthday, Sir.

A SUPERLATIVE ATHLETICS BIRTHDAY ENCOMIUM FOR MASTER SAVIOUR EDIOMO
Today i crown a champion. Master Saviour Ediomo, the last born of the mighty Ediomo Empire, you are not just younger in age, you are greater in grit.
As a State Athlete, you wear Lagos’ colors with fire in your feet and steel in your lungs. Every medal around your neck is a story: of 5am drills, of burning lungs, of refusing to quit when the race got hard. Gold, silver, bronze, you have collected them all, but your brightest medal is your character.
You run like destiny is chasing you, you jump like limits don’t exist, and you win like it’s your birthright. The track knows your name. The podium expects you. The Ediomo Empire stands taller because you are its last, but most lightning-fast, son.
On your birthday, i don’t just celebrate another year. I celebrate a legacy in motion. Keep breaking records, Saviour. The empire, and the nation, is watching. Happy Birthday, Champion!

*An Encomium to Myself on Father’s Day*
Seven years ago, life gave me my greatest title: Father of Master Emmanuel Samuel Ediomo. Since that day, I have walked humbly in the shadow of a responsibility that shapes me more than I shape it.
I have been his first teacher and loudest cheerleader, his safe place in storms, and the hand he reaches for when the world feels big. I have learned patience through sleepless nights, strength through his tears, and joy through his laughter. I may not have all the answers, but I show up consistently, lovingly, imperfectly because he deserves nothing less.
For seven years, I have tried to lead by example, to correct with grace, and to love without condition. If Emmanuel grows up knowing he was wanted, protected, and believed in, then I have honored the call of fatherhood.
Today I celebrate this quiet, demanding, beautiful work. I am proud to be his father.
