Duʿā

DUʿĀ FOR WHEN YOU FEEL OVERWHELMED

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الهَمِّ وَالحَزَنِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ العَجْزِ وَالكَسَلِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الجُبْنِ وَالبُخْلِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ غَلَبَةِ الدَّيْنِ وَقَهْرِ الرِّجَالِ

Allahumma innī aʿūdhu bika minal-hammi wal-ḥazan, wa aʿūdhu bika minal-ʿajzi wal-kasal, wa aʿūdhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhl, wa aʿūdhu bika min ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijāl.

Meaning:
“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, from weakness and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, and from the burden of debt and being overcome by people.”

— Sahih al-Bukhari 6369

Repeat it with sincerity. Keep making duʿā. Keep your heart attached to Allah. 🤍

DON’T GIVE UP.
Allah sees your struggle.
Allah hears your duʿā.
Keep trusting Him. 🤍

🤲 GOING THROUGH A HARD TIME?

Don’t carry it alone. Turn to Allah.

Recite the beautiful dua of Prophet Yunus عليه السلام:

“There is no deity except You; glory be to You. Indeed, I was among the wrongdoers.”

📖 Qur’an 21:87

Then speak to Allah about what is weighing on your heart. 🤍

May Allah turn your hardship into ease, your worry into peace, and your tears into relief. Ameen.

Tears in Prayer

Praying is not hard, but praying with tears while speaking to Allah is a different kind of peace. 🤲🏽🥺 May Allah hear the duas we cannot put into words. Ameen. 🤍

Your mother is a door of Allah’s mercy. 🤍

While she is alive, cherish her, serve her, and seek her duʿā. Some doors of mercy are only appreciated after they are gone.

“And We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment.”
— Qur’an 29:8

“And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say: ‘My Lord, have mercy upon them as they raised me when I was small.’”
— Qur’an 17:24

Honor your mother before the day comes when you can only make duʿā for her.

May Allah preserve our mothers, forgive them, bless them, and grant them Jannatul Firdaus. Āmīn. 🤲🏽

Prepare for that day by doing righteous deeds, turning to Allah in sincere repentance, and worshipping Him with sincerity.

“Every soul shall taste death.”
