Official Condolence Message on the Passing of Mr. Kehinde Ojelowo

We at Midtown International Football Academy received with deep shock and sadness the news of the passing of Mr. Kehinde Ojelowo, who until his demise served as the Secretary of the Oyo State Football Association and a Director at the Oyo State Sports Council.

Mr. Ojelowo was not only an exemplary sports administrator and leader but also a steadfast supporter and friend of Midtown International Football Academy. His unwavering dedication to the development of football in Oyo State and his mentorship to young talents will be remembered and cherished for years to come.

His passing is a great loss to the football community and to all who had the privilege of working with him. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues at the Oyo State Sports Council and Football Association, and the entire Oyo State sports fraternity.

May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire all of us to uphold the values of integrity, service, and passion for sports that he so deeply embodied.

In Africa, self-confidence is not a luxury. It is resilience. It is vision. It is the courage to educate young athletes when fields, balls, or support are missing. It is continuing to build teams even when the structure is fragile. It is building the future with both feet firmly grounded in the present.

But today, developing youth through sport demands more. It demands that sport walks hand in hand with education, because only knowledge truly transforms.
It demands sports and financial literacy, so young people can understand the game on and off the field and manage their lives with awareness and responsibility.
It demands proper nutrition, because physical performance and well-being cannot be improvised.
And it demands a commitment to sustainability, because sport, like life, needs strong roots and respect for the environment that sustains it.

The leaders who believe are those who clear paths where there was only wilderness. Who inspire without promising miracles. Who lift entire communities through sport.

We need more leaders like this — with skill, with passion, and above all, with self-confidence.
Because when a leader truly believes, the impossible starts to tremble.
