Lately, one of the biggest issues coming up in my one-on-one sessions has been relationships—and some of the stories have honestly scared me.

What began as conversations about boredom, familiarity, communication, and emotional disconnection has, in some cases, become much deeper, more painful, and even life-threatening.

And that is why I find myself talking about relationships more and more.

He had gold in his hands, yet boredom made him start searching for stones.

Sometimes, what we dismiss as “just relationship problems” can become destructive when left unaddressed.

So I will keep talking about it—endlessly if I have to.

Not to judge, but to create awareness, encourage honest conversations, and hopefully help someone recognize the warning signs before a relationship crisis becomes a life crisis.

Even when you gave yourself completely, you were used and trampled on.

You were misunderstood when all you were trying to do was love. You were taken for granted when all you wanted was to give. And eventually, life had to take you through the fire—not to destroy you, but to mold you.

So what is the real solution?

Don't make the new person the solution to an old problem.
First, step back from the new attachment and create enough distance to think clearly. Then ask yourself honestly:
What is this feeling showing me?
Is something missing within me?
Is something missing in my marriage?
Have I stopped communicating?
Have I been emotionally neglected?
Have I been seeking validation elsewhere?
Or have I simply encountered someone I'm attracted to?
Then address the actual problem.
If your marriage is worth rebuilding, have the difficult conversations, restore emotional intimacy, address the unresolved issues and intentionally rebuild what has been neglected.
If you've discovered that the marriage is no longer something you genuinely want, deal honestly with the marriage before beginning another relationship.
Don't use one relationship to escape another.
The permanent solution isn't learning how never to have feelings for someone else.
It's learning to understand your feelings without allowing them to make your decisions for you.
Feelings are information.
Your values make the decision.
And your actions create the consequences
