NLO: ZEFC comeback to grab first win, defeat AS Racine 2-1
Zenith Emperor Football Club, (ZEFC) on Thursday, May 2 pulled an emphatic comeback to grab their first victory as they defeated AS Racine, 2-1 in the ongoing 24/25 Nationwide League One, (NLO).
The Lagos based team which paraded young sensational players in this season had earlier suffered a setback, losing its four straight matches, positioning at the bottom of the league.
But unperturbed by the losses, the team began the matchday five against AS Racine trailing a goal behind in the first two minutes as Lekan Jimoh buried the early opportunity to give his team the lead.
But the jubilation for the early goal was short lived as ZEFC mercurial midfielder Obus Joshua restored parity to raise the hope for his team three minutes later.
After a series of exchanges, 'senior man' Owogbemi Olamilekan doubled the lead to secure the first win for his team.
Excited about the victory, the club's chairman Mr. Babatunde Edatomola heaped praises on the players and the coach, fulfilling the cash reward promise.

Title: Lagos State: A Jewel of Governance Amidst Sporting Infrastructural Challenges
Lagos State stands as a beacon of efficient governance under the leadership of its performing governor, whose visionary initiatives have transformed the landscape of the state. However, despite its numerous achievements, the state has faced persistent challenges in the development of sports infrastructure, particularly the completion of sports stadiums. This oversight has resulted in prolonged delays, hindering the progress of Lagos-based teams, who now face the prospect of playing their National League One (NLO) Division One matches in neighboring Ogun State.Under the stewardship of its dedicated governor, Lagos State has witnessed remarkable advancements in various sectors, including infrastructure, education, and healthcare. The administration's commitment to enhancing the quality of life for its residents has earned accolades both locally and internationally, solidifying Lagos' reputation as a model megacity.Nevertheless, the pace of progress in sports infrastructure has lagged behind other areas of development. Despite the importance of sports in fostering community engagement, promoting physical well-being, and nurturing talent, the completion of sports stadiums has been mired in delays and bureaucratic hurdles. This shortfall has had tangible repercussions for Lagos-based sports teams, impeding their ability to train and compete at the highest levels. As a consequence of the prolonged stadium construction projects, Lagos teams now face the inconvenience of traveling to Ogun State to participate in NLO Division One matches. This arrangement not only undermines the state's reputation as a hub for sporting excellence but also poses logistical challenges and financial burdens for the teams and their supporters. While the governor's administration has demonstrated a commendable commitment to addressing various infrastructural needs, including road networks, housing, and public utilities, the completion of sports stadiums remains a glaring omission. The delay in fulfilling this essential requirement underscores the need for increased attention and investment in sports infrastructure to nurture the talent and passion of Lagos' youth and bolster the state's sporting prowess on the national stage. In light of these challenges, it is imperative for the Lagos State government to prioritize the expedited completion of sports stadiums and invest in the development of comprehensive sports facilities. By doing so, Lagos can reclaim its status as a sports powerhouse and provide its residents with the resources and opportunities they need to excel in athletics and contribute to the state's continued growth and prosperity .

In the heart of a small town nestled between rolling hills, there stood a modest football field where dreams were born and legends were made. Among the aspiring athletes who graced its turf was a young boy named Marcus. From a tender age, Marcus possessed an unyielding passion for the beautiful game.
Despite growing up in a community where opportunities were scarce, Marcus never allowed his circumstances to dim his aspirations. With every kick of the ball, he poured his heart and soul into honing his skills, fueled by a deep-seated belief that his talent was a gift from above.
As Marcus matured, he faced his fair share of challenges on and off the field. He encountered setbacks, injuries, and moments of self-doubt that threatened to derail his dreams. Yet, through it all, he remained steadfast in his faith, trusting in God's plan for his life.
One fateful day, Marcus found himself standing on the cusp of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunityβthe chance to try out for the prestigious national youth team. As he stepped onto the field, nerves gnawed at his stomach, but he drew strength from the words of his favorite scripture: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
With each pass and sprint, Marcus poured his heart into every movement, leaving everything he had on the field. And when the final whistle blew, he felt a sense of peace wash over him, knowing that he had given his all, regardless of the outcome.
Weeks passed, and Marcus received news that he had been selected to represent his country on the international stage. Tears of joy streamed down his face as he realized that his perseverance had paid off. But amidst the celebrations, Marcus remained humbled, recognizing that his journey was a testament to God's grace and providence.
As Marcus donned his country's jersey and stepped onto the pitch, he knew that he was part of something bigger than himself. With every pass, tackle, and goal, he played not for personal glory, but to honor the divine gifts he had been entrusted with.
In the end, Marcus's story became a beacon of inspiration to all who knew himβa reminder that success is not measured by luck or talent alone, but by the unyielding faith and perseverance that propel us forward, guided by the grace of a higher power.God did

WHAT IS THE STANDARD LENGTH OF A MANDATE & CONTRACT WITH A SPORTS AGENT?
As every year, the world of football is faced with two (2) transfer window periods, among others, the winter transfer window which usually lasts (1 month) and the summer transfer window which lasts (3 months).
Here, it is important to understand that a Mandate is different from a Contract and the two do not have the same effects and the same weight legally speaking.
Note that the standard length of a mandate depends on the transfer window and generally it is between (1 and 3 months). With some exceptions, there are those who ask for a mandate of 10 or 15 days, this is one of the exceptions, but logic would dictate that the mandate should have a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of 90 days, it all depends on the transfer window.
On the other hand, the length of a contract with a sports agent can vary, but often, it is around 1 to 2 years.
It is also possible to include options to extend the contract automatically if both parties agree.
It is important to read and understand all the terms of the contract before signing, including the comment, and when it can be renewed or terminated.
Generally the contract with a sports agent follows the rhythm of the player's contract with the club that recruits him, if the agent paraphrases a contract of (4 years) with a club for this player, the latter remains his player for these (4 years), but generally it rotates between 1 and 2 years.
The mandate, on the other hand, refers to the duration of the transfer window. So don't confuse the two documents.
A word to the wise...
