Income Streams with Miriam

Last Saturday night in my Baking Basics Bootcamp, I shared a story that left everyone amazed: how one small act of service turned into an instant order and a game-changing opportunity for my cake business.

A few years ago, my kids’ school was preparing for their Christmas carol. We were still new to the school, and I knew nobody but I decided to step out boldly.

I approached the proprietress and asked if I could help with anything. She assured me that everything was covered. But instead of walking away, I offered to gift them some cupcakes.

Guess what happened next?

As I stepped out of her office, she suddenly called me back and ordered 100 extra cupcakes on the spot! But that wasn’t all!

She also gave me a stand to display and sell all my baked items at the event. And let me tell you something, sales that day were through the roof!💰

That moment reinforced a powerful lesson for me: service creates a ripple effect of unexpected blessings.

Exodus 23:25 says: you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water.

This week, I encourage you to be intentional about serving; it might just open doors you never imagined!

I clearly remember a certain time in 2018 when I was setting a goal for Bake And Beads Academy.

Part of the goal was that I wanted to impact more lives through online training, I wanted to create online courses that will be taken globally stress-free!

I was already hosting physical classes and had hosted about 5-6 classes that year but it was too draining for me so I wanted to transition into virtual classes only.

But the fear of the unknown, the fear of “would anybody buy” was still gripping me, you know why? I had previously created my very first online course around 2016/17 and only one person bought.

I cried my eyes out that night😭 Imagine launching a course for 8 weeks and nobody bought until the last day you are closing the launch.

Back then online courses wasn’t as common as it is now. People (especially Nigerians sadly) were skeptical about the effectiveness of online classes.

Did I give up? Almost! But I went back to relaunch with some tweaks here and there, dotting my i’s and crossing my t’s. This time around it was a success!

Aside the Nigerian students, I also had students from South Africa, Tanzania, and Cameroon but to receive these international payments was another war, western Union people thought I was doing yahoo, story for another day!🤣

Today .academy has empowered students both men and women from over 21 countries of the world, I wake up to enrollment notifications from Sweden, UAE, UK etc (stress-free!😍).

All these are happening because I chose not to give up, so I am here to encourage you to keep chasing your dreams. Even if it seems like nobody has done it before and it seems difficult, stay focused, YOU ARE WINNING 🏆 SOON!🔥🚀

Sometime last week, I got home to meet a surprise from my 9year old daughter and 7 year old son💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽

First she said "please mommy dont be mad that we touched your stuff without permission."

I said okay, I wont be mad, what is it..? (It's either I am in trouble or they are)😂😂
We went inside....
And.....they presented to me, THE BEST GIFT EVER!😍😍😍
They carried my beadcraft bag used anything they saw in there and made this amazing costume for me!!!👁👁

Like I can't believe it! They made it from scratch using their own pattern.
I was asking them how did they learn the pattern...?

I have only showed them how to put string inside beads, once! Only once!! I never showed them how to form beautiful patterns or anything like what they have done.

My son made the longer one, my daughter made the bracelet.
They tied the rope at the end😂😂😂 because they can't put hook at the end yet.

Now I have a brand new set!💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽 So I will put hook for the long one, reduce the bracelet to my wrist size and wear it oo💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽

Guess what?
In the second picture is one of the ones I made years ago, I just discovered that my son made exactly same length! And they don't know where I Kept this old one oo.

I told them I will open business for them...buy their own tools and since then they have been jumping saying..."we will make money".

Lesson for you📝:
Don't wait till you gather all the certificates on earth before you start making REAL MONEY. That skill you are neglecting can be your stepping stone to financial freedom.
