Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen delivered an impressive performance as Galatasaray secured a resounding 5-2 victory over Juventus F.C. in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League play-off tie.

Although Osimhen did not find the back of the net, the Nigerian forward played a decisive role in the encounter, registering two assists and leading the line with relentless energy.

His aggressive pressing and intelligent movement unsettled Juventus’ backline in the contest.

Both of his assists stemmed from his tireless work off the ball. On each occasion, Osimhen applied intense pressure high up the pitch, dispossessing defenders and creating immediate attacking opportunities for his teammates to capitalise on.

With a three-goal cushion heading into the second leg, Galatasaray will be confident of progressing, thanks in no small part to Osimhen’s influential display.
