Financial freedom is not linear for everyone…

Someone’s definition of financial freedom will differ from yours and that’s totally okay…

Pressuring yourself to meet up with other people’s definition of financial freedom will only set you up for failure and disappointment when you can’t meet up with other people’s standards?

You’ve got to think deeply about what matters to you in life and use that to define what financial freedom is to you.

Not everyone wants a flashy life.. for some people, financial freedom is simply a peaceful life, quality life, debt freedom and the ability to meet their needs without struggle.

For someone else, it could mean fast cars, generational wealth and private jets. And that’s okay!!!

The main thing is to know what you’re working towards and to go get it.

I’m rooting for you.

MONEY UNPLUGGED JOS‼️

Money Unplugged with The Money Mechanic is a free event designed to be an intimate, conversation-driven finance experience that creates a safe space for young people to have honest, judgment-free discussions about money.

It is a state-to-state movement across the middle belt and the north and the my aim is to build a relatable and trusted financial community while strengthening my presence as a leading voice for practical financial literacy and empowerment in Nigeria.

Our first edition held successfully in my beautiful home, Jos and we had over 40 people who came through to enjoy this experience.

Our conversations revolved around:
📌 The fact that inflation will always exist and expenses will always be on the rise in the economy and so the only sure way to keep up is to increase income
📌 It is critical to understand where we are with our finances if we must chart a path to financial freedom
📌 Financial freedom means different things to different people and so each of us must define what it means to us and work towards it intentionally. Knowing what financial means to you also prevents you from feeling pressure by what you see especially on the internet… walk your own path and avoid comparison.
📌 As we build wealth, me must not just think of spending it all… we must think LEGACY
📌 Income follows assets and therefore, more assets means more income. Our role is to create active assets, turn them into passive assets and do that repeatedly!
📌 The speed to wealth is to solve more problems for more people at a faster rate.

And so much more

It was 3 hours of pure bliss and everyone one of us went home feeling energized to pick up the pace with our finances and to DO THE WORK.

I want to thank everyone who was in the room… the experience was electrifying.
