I had the best brother in the world.

Seriously, I had the best brother in the world.

I have said this to myself over and over again in the last 22 hours or so since I lost my Emeka, and I wondered if people would see my heart to know that I truly had the best brother in the world.

He was a leader. A patriarch. A good time king. Generous. Fun-loving. Witty. Caring. Kindhearted. Responsible.

He was my brother and I wondered if people knew he was the best brother in the world. Like, really the best.

I have cried all day. My heart broken into a gazillion pieces. Completed shattered.

I needed something to help me bear the pain and my spirit led me to Facebook because my brother had a bold footprint on this platform, and boy did I realise that my brother wasn't just the best brother in the world. He was the best guy in the world. He was the best friend in the world.

And guess what? I'm not the only one who thinks so. I didn't have to wonder anymore if people knew that about him. The testimonies and tributes on this platform made me realise that people knew all those things about him. A testament to the great guy my brother was. My Mayor!

I am shattered and heartbroken but those tributes have picked up a few pieces. It will take a lot to mend my heart (if it can ever be mended) but I am grateful for all those words that testified to my brother's greatness. Even in death, he continues to make me proud.

Mayor... I loved you. I love you still. I will love you till my last breath.

Thank you for being the best brother in the world. I am happy you asked me everyday, "Somash, who is the best brother in the world" and my response was always the same, "you are, Mayor".

It was always said in laughter but I know you believed it every time I said it.

Nwanne m, you were the best brother in the world ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Rest in peace, nna... Je nke oma.

Watch some football with Daddy in heaven. Tell him he supported a useless team in Aston Villa and I thought it couldn't get any worse than that until you chose Man Utd. Tell him that Somash cleaned up the family's image and finally brought some class into it with Arsenal

Heaven gained an angel.

I love you bro ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
