Dear Young Woman,

In today's Friday Palava with bigMary.

I want to remind you that this temptation to curse Nigeria is real, but I beg you not to be a part of it at all, and that's also part of the plan. For the countrymen and women to continue to curse a blessed nation. You can't curse a blessed nation, no matter what. Go and read your scriptures well.

See eeeehn, Nigeria is so blessed, and why we are facing this high level of challenge is because of how God has greatly blessed us. This nation will fulfil prophecies; it's just a matter of time. Mark my words.

I just want to encourage the young Nigerian woman out there to please not get discouraged with Nigeria, that you begin to abuse the president or any Nigerian political or church leader. It's not your duty to curse them. You can remind them of their obligations, but please don't curse.

Your duty is this: come with me as I write.

These people were not your problem, are not your problem and will never be your problem. Your real enemy is the person around you who knows the truth and has refused to embrace it, especially now that it is very glaring to us.

Don't be tempted to think that the Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, or one tribe like that is our problem. After all, that was what they wanted us to believe: that one particular tribe in Nigeria is the problem.
I don't want you to fall for that lie. Just yesterday, you saw what happened to a particular tribe man like that, how they humiliated him and his tribesmen, and they made us believe again that nobody is coming to save us, indirectly painting it to us that even the foreign aid might also not be of help to us.

That's a BIG LIE!

That's to show you that our real help will not come as a man but will come through a man. That's how God works. Real help actually comes from the Lord who made the heavens and the earth. Yes, it comes through men, don't forget. Read that again!

After all these have been said and done, it is to make us arise and begin to do what they had always expected us to do as planned.
To fight physically, a particular tribe tried to do it in Nigeria and what became of them. More chaos and now, how far?

Please, as a woman, you have better equipment to fight, as seen in Ephesians 6:10-18. Go back to my post of 20/11/2025. Don't think that spirituality doesn't work again. Don't allow your fellow woman to discourage you from praying or to stop praying completely.

My point is this: prayer still works. Don't allow anybody to water down prayer around you because of what is happening. See Sis., we need to stop praying as usual, begin to ask that the lord God Almighty grant us the divine wisdom and the strategies on how to tackle this challenge that has come to swallow us.

Scripture says, women will receive their dead back to life and that includes Nigeria. This nation might look dead now, but it will surely come back to life. She is depending on you and I, the womb carriers to do that. Please, Nigerian young women, arise and let God hear our cry once again. Listen up, no prayer is fruitless!

The battle line has been drawn a long time ago. They won't stop until we arise both spiritually and physically. Emphasis on physically BUT of course, we cannot afford to fight foolishly like we did on the 20th of October, 2020!

New strategy for the new Nigeria.

Say this, we receive a new strategy for the new Nigeria... Amen!
Please, share this post or tell somebody what I said in today's post.
Thank you!

I have a lot to say but I can't say it here.

Feel free to join Women Palava Blog- WOPAN's Telegram channel so that we can go there and reason more together!

Bye for now.

Your Sincerely,

I AM TIRED OF THE STORY OF THE COUPLE TRENDING! Read to the end to know why!

First of all, are you not tired?

If you are, please come with me, let´s look into this palava wey dey my table today. It´s another Friday Palava With BigMary.

Just a few years ago, an online in-law went so far as to say that Min. Mercy Chinwo´s first child resembled Min. Nath Bassey, and the whole of social media exploded. Hmmmm, Nigeria and cruise, sha!

What was never expected to be done by MM1 and her husband was done, and they trended again for doing the right thing. But wetin happen at last? An apology was tendered because the online in-law couldn´t afford the money wey them for use bail their careless words.

And fast forward to now, I am seeing that a lot of people never still get a level of social media sen-se or to at least learn from the lesson that was taught the last time. To think that gospel artists are not humans that you can cyberbully them and not meet them in court was something else.

Honestly speaking, it´s because of things like this that I decided to be discreet with my life on social media. If you know me before, I dey sabi post personal stuffs, but now, na only my business brand palava I dey post wella wella and a little of my personal life gist because the way some people, especially umu nwanyi these days, have taken it upon themselves to become social media monitoring spirits abi social media supervisors, abi social media class captain done tire person.

The way some of you have refused to learn how to comment intelligently and mind your business is really alarming!

Please, I beg again, can we at least learn how to mind our business for once, because what is this again oooh? Why are some people gradually making the social media space so toxic for their fellow users?

Please, stop catching cruise in the comment sections of people´s personal lives kwanu? It really doesn´t make sense at all anymore. It is because of people like you that the government will keep thinking of regulating or banning some kind social Apps for this country.

In all your scrolling for this space, learn to walka pass. You must not comment on every post you see online because the day it will put you in trouble. No talk say bigMary no tell you.

Abeg, we can do better. Thank you!

Lastly, this is why I got tired of their story. The stories are no more aligning, selfishness has taken over, and again, the online in-laws will not allow them to settle amicably. Their comments are beginning to add more fire to the palava arising. If not for social media, how these trending couple wan take expose their gbegeh wey dem get inside marriage. Before na the love of money cause am, another person say na the girl family cause am. Now, them talk say na four different age be the problem. Tomorrow, we go soon hear say, na their village people be the cause of the problem. Are you guys really kidding me because what is type s**t again?

Oya Ngwanu oooh, type s.h.i.t!

It is well.

Dear Young Woman,

Please help me ask this insecure man how his marriage has turned out to be a place of competition and a press conference. Who told him that a woman or his wife is his challenge in life?
If he had always been secure in himself BEFORE marriage, would he have ever taught that his wife is his competitor? Kai, what an annoying mindset from this man!

Please, help me also tell him that a woman who is BELOW him doesn't mean he can't be disrespected. Tell him that respect is reciprocal. Make it sound into his ears that respect has never been one-sided. Even if you are a grandfather and you go ahead to disrespect a little girl-child, that little girl will turn around to insult you one day if she can no longer bear it again.

Please, just tell him that he should stop spreading the wrong message on social media because normally, they are both light shining in their own way. Just like the sun and the moon! You can never see them competing with themselves. Tell him that the woman is also a light and should be allowed to shine in her calling. The truth he does not know is that when he allows her to shine, she projects him, the man, the head, at the city gate and to the ends of the earth!

If more men were trained with the right marriage motive, this particular man would not be here advising his fellow men to do something that has resulted into exactly what is trending online today. When it comes to the topic of marriage, the internet will just be on fire, making marriage more difficult for those who want to genuinely get married in life! I pray that those in marriage chaos find peace in their marriage in Jesus' name.

Today's Hashtag Friday Palava with BigMary will not allow me call names at all but all I can say is this, If you are truly the LEADER in that marriage, why not handle matters well and make her understand that you don't wash your pants and boxers outside since you are the older one here, but since we don't know how you both have been doing your marriage behind closed doors, how do you want us to fully get involved in this matter, the way you are going?

My prayer is that we shall not lose this little girl-child that you want to silence because you don't want her to outshine you. When you do your part well as a man, that woman will give you back what you have given to her in multiple ways. Never forget that a woman is naturally a multiplier. Allow her to shine and give her peace and see if you will not receive shining peace press down, shaken together and running over.

Hmmmm, , may WE not experience these kinds of insecure men in Jesus name.

Oya, repeat after me.
I will marry well.
I will marry right.
I will marry peace.
I will marry once.
I will marry maturely.
I will not marry for social media validation.
Oya, run to the comment section and drop more prayers there, let's type amen with you!

It all started more than a decade ago when my Mordecai asked me to become his book sales manager.

I never knew that saying yes to that business opportunity was going to be the beginning of a fulfilled life for me. I believe the Holy Spirit directed him well.

It started from a mere passion for selling books in church, until it gradually turned out to be writing books and helping authors birth books for a living. It didn't take so long, I became officially so crazy about book writing, book sales and marketing. Before then, I was already bookish. I dey like read like say tomorrow no dey.

I was faithful in the little I was selling that year, and my boss was faithful in paying me my commission as well. That fuelled my passion the more, and I began to work so hard to make more sales so that I could get more money.

I never thought for once that he was using me to make huge money for himself. I never thought that way because I was happy to be used in a positive light.

It opened me up for more opportunities in the writing and publishing industry. I began to meet the high and mighty through book reading and book selling. I started getting to know people in church and at different events in Nigeria. I enjoyed travelling those times, even up till now.

It started making sense, and then fast forward to when I went for an event in Edo State, an industry guru located me and decided to help me. I call him my destiny helper. That was how he helped me scale through difficult times through book sales and marketing while waiting for NYSC those years. I made more money and began to make more deals because I allowed myself to be used by those whom God has positioned to help me.

I went through a lot while I was waiting for my next level, but I was able to learn the in and out of book writing, book sales and marketing, and that was how I became a popular book seller, but because I have always had my first love in food sales and marketing. And so, I had to infuse it into what I was doing, and that was how I started making a lot of profits from my business. You won't blame me, my mom is a born caterer and I inherited that passion from her womb.

I learnt a lot on the job I was doing for myself and that was how I forgot that I was rejected many times because I hadn't gone for service. The situation of things in Nigeria was frustrating me, but I learnt how to channel my pains into purpose and achieved a whole lot out of it.

Today, I heard that one popular influencer online is saying that all men are bad, I am here to tell you that not all men are bad and that if you will allow God use men to help you. He will do it and put jara on top am, that was my case. God has used a lot of men to help me in this life, and I can't say because one man was not man enough. That all men are bad. This is why I wrote the book ''FEMINISM IS NOT A SCAM.'' The Selar link is in the comment section.

I have many stories to tell of how many men have been of help to me including my biological brothers, father and especially my pastor back then in Owerri who God used to kick me into my next level. I wrote the full story in my book: ''GET IT WITH EASE'' Currently not in sale.

I remember how one big man from my church helped me when I needed extra money to go for NYSC service in Jigawa State. When I came back after my service year to give him the money, he had lent me that year. He asked me to go with the money that he has dashed me.

I have too much evidence of how God has used men to help me in this life, I can't because of one man who didn't do well conclude that all men are bad.

Please, let's stop spreading the wrong information about human beings. Not all men are bad, including women. Not all women are bad as well.

That you feel someone is a bad person doesn't mean they are bad until you encounter them personally. This is exactly why some people don't honour Jesus as lord and personal saviour of their lives because they haven't experienced Him personally.

Two years ago, Chef Hilda Baci had a dream to cook the world's largest Jollof Rice. She was set to break another record that no human being on planet Earth had ever broken after breaking the first record in 2023. (The longest cooking marathon.)

And today, 12th September 2025, with the help of GINO and other brands, where she is also a brand ambassador. Her dream came to pass, and the first GINO Jollof World Festival happened. This is what the right association, partnerships, and collaboration does.

It's one thing to have a dream. It's another thing to have those who will help you achieve your dream in no distant time. Apart from all she has, her mom plays a major role in her life. It shows that she did a great job in raising a chef who can surpass her in the industry.

She understands the win-win strategy and is ever ready to support her daughter, no matter how big she becomes. I don't even want to talk about the number of people, colleagues, celebrities, and government dignitaries who came out to support her.

You may be asking why her own case is always different and why she dey always get supporters like this. Anyway, there is something she definitely knows and is applying well. The power of PR and strategic partnerships.

The truth is this: Hilda has upgraded the narrative of African women, especially Christian Entrepreneurs. She has shown us that greatness is possible and that Nigerian Christian women can do better and learn to balance things.

Did you see her pastor with them at the venue? It shows you the kind of person she is. I like the fact that more Nigerian women have risen for greatness and are reaching out to the globe. Hilda should be studied; she is good at what she does.

Congratulations to Chef Hilda, to the food industry in Nigeria, to GINO, to Nigeria. Our women have risen, and in the 5 to 10 years, we shall break more records. Will you, cos I will be a part of it.

Together, we go global.
Hilda has indeed taken us global today.
Who is the next to make this history?
