Dear Devotees, Pamho. Agtsp. Its been a while actually, just tire of the situation here without improvement! Appeal to GBC plz. Been hard to say this, but we just have to. Iskcon West Africa is not getting any better our leaders are in disarray and don't have same goal. I don't want to talk any further, as I believe so many devotees here understand what I am saying, and to you out there you can on your own tell the situation of things! The situation is not getting any better and Iskcon Nigeria lose devotees virtually on a daily basis without making any. I think if the head is bad the body is in trouble. Please we need to look at other alternative at the top here, the situation of the head is hypocritical and no body wants to identify with that, and if it is not attended to by the GBC on time, things will keep getting worse and Iskcon will become a story of once upon in time in Nigeria! Don't get carried by the post you see on fb from West-Africa, most are individual efforts and for personal glory. The Movement here is not growing and not moving. Plz help pass this on till it gets to the right desk! Hare Krishna!!! Whom Iskcon Nigeria may Concern.

Will our parents, business or kids disappear if we turn off our cell phone while chanting? But surely our bhakti will disappear because if one drop of attention is on our phone, we are in maya. We are chanting inattentively and committing offense." --- Mahanidhi Swami

“Narada Muni Plays His Vina”

‘radhika-ramana’-name
nama amani, udita haya,
bhakata-gita-same

(2)
amiya-dhara, barishe ghana,
sravana-yugale giya
bhakata jana, saghane nace,
bhoriya apana hiya

(3)
madhuri-pura, asava pasi’,
mataya jagata-jane
keho va kande, keho va nace,
keho mate mane mane

(4)
panca-vadana, narade dhori’,
premera saghana rol
kamalasana, naciya bole,
‘bolo bolo hari bolo’

(5)
sahasranana, parama-sukhe,
‘hari hari’ boli’ gaya
nama-prabhave, matilo visva,
nama-rasa sabe paya

sri-krishna-nama, rasane sphuri’,
pura’lo amar asa
sri-rupa-pade, yacaye iha,

Translation:

(1) When the great soul Narada Muni plays his stringed vina, the holy name of Radhika-ramana descends
and immediately appears amidst the kirtana of the Lord’s devotees.

(2) Like a monsoon cloud, the holy name showers pure nectar into their ears. Due to great ecstasy, all the
devotees enthusiastically dance to their heart’s content.

(3) All the inhabitants of the universe become maddened upon entering these intoxicating showers of
divine sweetness. Some people cry, some dance, and others become fully intoxicated within their minds.

(4) Five-faced Lord Siva embraces Narada Muni and repeatedly shouts in ecstasy, while Lord Brahma dances
very ecstatically and exclaims, “All of you chant ‘Haribol! Haribol!’”

(5) In supreme happiness, thousand-faced Ananta Sesha sings and calls out, “Hari! Hari!” By the influence of
the transcendental vibration of the holy name, the whole universe becomes mad with ecstasy as everyone
relishes the mellows of the holy name.

(6) The holy name of Sri Krishna has fulfilled all my desires by thus manifesting on everyone’s
tongue. Bhakativinoda, the humble servant of the Lord, therefore prays at the feet of Sri Rupa Goswami that
the chanting of harinama may always continue in this way.

The first person you think of when we wake up, and the last person you think of before sleeping is either the cause of your happiness of distress! How often do you think of your Guru??

Simply practice pure devotional service, mainly in the form of nama-sankirtana, with the hope of gaining the eternal contact of the Lord's divine lotus feet.
COMMENTARY
Bhagavan-nama-sankirtana, loud chanting of the holy name of the Lord, is the most effective way to achieve Vaikuntha, or whatever else one may desire. But the chanting must be practiced in pure devotion, unmixed with motives of karma and jnana.
