CONFIRMED: Nigeria U-20 international Daniel Daga, who plays for Molde, has been sentenced to six months in prison in Norway after being found guilty of a non-consensual sexual act.

Molde, in a statement, acknowledged the verdict, saying the player would not play for the club till further notice.

Daga's lawyer, however, has insisted on the midfielder's innocence -- and according to reports, the case will be appealed.

Daga has registered two goals in 12 Eliteserien appearances so far this season, while Arierhi has scored four goals and provided an assist in 10 Obos-Ligaen games.
