Christ is Our Comforter
Before He left His disciples, Christ promised that He would send a Comforter to help them in the trials, cares, and temptations of life. This word comforter means "one that helps alongside." He is the Holy Spirit, the powerful Third Person of the Trinity. The moment you are born again, He takes up residence in your heart. You may not emotionally feel Him there, but you must exercise faith. Believe it! Accept it as a fact of faith! He is in your heart to help you. We are told that He sheds the love of God abroad in our hearts. He produces the fruit of the Spirit: "love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance." We cannot possibly manufacture this fruit in our own strength. It is supernaturally manufactured by the Holy Spirit who lives in our hearts!
Daily Prayer
Lord God Almighty, I praise You for Your Holy Spirit who guides and keeps me in all my ways.
Luke 11:13

Joy and Joy of eternity.
Once true, ever true is the fact that the invent and achievements of human in this spherical globe cannot cause and spur a truly happy existence. There's more to a sustainable happiness compared to what accolades and medals gives. The greatest joy is in the appreciation of life's nature and the exhibition of the love its shines daily. The bright sunlight, the smile of a toddler, the beauty of hills and ocean wave brings us an assuring Joy daily. Those who have found the ever assuring salvation of Christ Jesus are graced to be joyful even when the world takes her share of sorrow.

The Real You
It is significant that our first astronauts, while being trained for their moon flights, were required to give twenty answers to the query, "Who are you?" Take the same test yourself. When you have made your list and run out of things to add, ask yourself if you have truly answered. Do you really know who you are? Scientists agree that our desperate search leads all humans to seek heroes and to imitate others, to "paste bits and pieces of other people on ourselves." We make love as some actor would. We play golf in the style of Jack Nicklaus. Part of this process is natural, for we learn by imitating others. The tragedy is that the person we assemble is not genuine. "Who am I?" you cry as you roam the world looking for yourself. Consider this: there are three of you. There is the person you think you are. There is the person others think you are. There is the person God knows you are and can be through Christ.
Daily Prayer
Lord, help me to break through the façade and know myself as You do.
Psalm 103:14
