Peace Basketball Academy NG. defeated AMK Super Kids in Group B to secure the first position of Group B. Hoop Cares of Ghana fell short, while loosing to River Dragoons (Team A). Then Bayelsa Patroits secured another win over Impression Basketball Academy ASABA to make it to the second position at Group A.

All female team, Graduate To Greatness Basketball University- G2GBU lost all, but had an impressive performance scoring 14 points compared to single three or four points at the end of previous game. Coach of the team, Innocent Bizjames, says it's a good experience for his girls, and this would stir them up to train and improve greatly on their individual and team skills.

Second day of the maiden international tournament went well, as excited kids played their peers. More kids and adults came to cheer them all, irrespective of wins and losses.

At this level, everyone is a winner.

Coach of Team AMK Super Kids Fubara Humphrey Onyanabo with his kids, gave out gifts to each team they faced, as a sign of sportsmanship and support to the organizers.

AMK Super Kids and Peace Basketball Academy from Group B have had undefeated runs, and they face each other tomorrow to decide which team would come out tops.

Meanwhile, in Group A, home team River Dragoons (Team A) is undefeated, leaving Bayelsa Patriots and Hoop Cares of Ghana to sort out their second position, to qualify for the semi finals.

The international Under-12 Championship tipped off yesterday at Rowe Park, Yaba, Lagos State, Nigeria with nine teams in attendance.

Coaches expressed their feelings towards the event as it gives their kids early exposure and a good start to playing competitive basketball.

Hosting the event, Lagos State Coach, Lai Alimi said he's honoured to have the tournament here on their ground.

"I played Under-12 tournament on this same floor, and it has not been hosted since then. I was a player and now hosting it. It is a great pleasure to be part of this."

Coach Lai, registered two teams from his basketball academy, River Dragoons to let the kids have fun with others while chain of events unfold.
