The Chiroptera by Lungu is a nature inspired concept that fuses the distinctive MOVEMENT and INTELLIGENCE of an extinction threatened Mammal (Bat) into clothing.

Movement
The Locomotive feature of this mammal was the core of our design, we wanted to see our athletes move swiftly with an almost zero restriction, hence, we designed the Chiroptera shorts in a reverse position of a bat in hibernation. This concept sees the baseline of the short apparently wider and with slanted cuts to allow for lesser grip to an athletes thighs.

The Chiroptera shirt is laced with the lungu Ventfit 2.0 technology which utilises improvised heat perforation to create holes at strategic places on the shirts so as to allow for the cooling of the athletes body temperature during sporting activities.

The shirt's side joinings were modified backwards closer to the spines to minimize tear when pulled. The slits were also featured backwards rather than the occasional side slits seen on everyday clothing, this is intended to give the athlete a more flexible upper body movement.

The sleeves features the reglan cut pattern and a crew neck of which the front is ribless for easy wear and lighter feel.

The shirt design is such that it allows for more ad space in front as we anticipate loads of ad campaign from brands this year.

Subtle
To crown it, a unique accessory is added to the Chiroptera active wear that either reflects or glows and is most effective at night. This feature was derived from the bat's ability to successfully navigate through at night despite having a poor vision. According to the design team, the intent of this was to reduce minor indoor and outdoor hazards prior to it's occurrence.

The physical product is slated to be out by August in 2 types (Active and Passive) Alongside some marketing partnerships.
