ANFASSC ROARS NIGERIA TO A FOURTH UNITY CUP CROWN

The Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC) has once again etched its name into Nigerian sporting history, providing the wall of noise, colour, and unflinching devotion that helped propel the Super Eagles of Nigeria to a commanding 3-0 victory over Jamaica in the 2026 Unity Cup Final at The Valley Stadium in Charlton, London, on Saturday, May 30.

Nigeria are now the sole and undisputed monarchs of the Unity Cup โ€” the only nation to have won the tournament in all four editions of its history. ANFASSC was present for every single one.

Before a ball was kicked, ANFASSC National President Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi had made a vow: "Our drums, trumpets, voice and spirit are ready. The players should expect maximum support from us." From the semi-final against Zimbabwe โ€” which Nigeria won 2-0 โ€” through to the final whistle against Jamaica, every word of that promise was honoured. Prince Ogunjimi did not send a delegation โ€” he led one. Personally flying in from Nigeria alongside ANFASSC members, the National President was visible in the stands throughout the tournament, embodying the hands-on, front-line leadership that has come to define ANFASSC under his tenure.

ANFASSC also takes this moment to express profound appreciation to Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, whose steadfast support for this organisation and genuine love for Nigerian sport continue to be a source of strength and direction. The club equally celebrates Chief Yemi Idowu, whose commitment to the growth of Nigerian sport at every level resonates deeply with everything ANFASSC stands for. And to Kunle Soname โ€” a man whose enthusiasm for Nigerian football is as legendary as his investment in its future โ€” ANFASSC salutes you. These three gentlemen represent the kind of partnership and solidarity that makes movements like this one possible.

In front of a raucous atmosphere that ANFASSC played a decisive role in creating, Nigeria went ahead in just the third minute through midfielder Alhassan Yusuf, who reacted quickest after the Jamaican goalkeeper spilled a header into the danger area. Captain Terem Moffi doubled t

OGUNJIMI AND ANFASSC ROCK THE VALLEY AS SUPER EAGLES MARCH INTO UNITY CUP FINAL

Nigeria's most passionate supporters club turns London into Lagos as Eagles crush Zimbabwe 2-0

When the drums started at The Valley Stadium in Charlton, London, everybody in that ground knew Nigeria had arrived. Not just the Super Eagles โ€” but their heartbeat, their backbone, their loudest cheerleaders. The Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC) showed up in full force on Tuesday evening, and the Super Eagles responded with a commanding 2-0 victory over Zimbabwe to book their place in the 2026 Unity Cup final.

ANFASSC KEPT THEIR PROMISE

Before a ball was kicked, ANFASSC National President Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi had made a vow. He said: "Our drums, trumpets, voice and spirit are ready. The players should expect maximum support from us." On Tuesday night at The Valley, that promise was honoured in spectacular fashion.
From the moment the teams walked out, the ANFASSC delegation โ€” who had flown in from Nigeria specifically for this tournament โ€” transformed their section of the stadium into a carnival of green and white. Drums thundered. Trumpets blared. Voices rose. The energy was infectious, the kind of support that reminds footballers they are not alone on that pitch.

This is what ANFASSC does. This is who ANFASSC is.

A NIGHT LONDON WILL NOT FORGET

The Super Eagles, inspired by the wall of noise behind them, put on a show worthy of the occasion. Debutant Femi Azeez scored twice โ€” the first after just five minutes, the second in the second half โ€” to seal a dominant 2-0 win over a Zimbabwe side that had frustrated Nigeria three times in a row. Even without big names like Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Paul Onuachu, the Eagles flew.

And through every moment of that performance, ANFASSC was there. Celebrating every attack. Lifting the team through every tight spell. Being, as Prince Ogunjimi always says, the 12th man.

*2026 Unity Cup: Abayomi Ogunjimi leads ANFASSC to London*

The Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC) has arrived in London ahead of the 2026 Unity Cup, where Nigeriaโ€™s Super Eagles will be aiming to successfully defend the title they won last year.

Led by its National President, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi, the delegation touched down in London on Sunday ahead of the invitational tournament scheduled to run from May 26 to May 30, 2026.

Nigeria will begin their campaign against Zimbabwe on May 26, with a place in the final up for grabs. Should the Super Eagles overcome Zimbabwe, they will face the winner of the clash between Jamaica and India in the final.

The supporters club, under the leadership of Prince Ogunjimi, also played a visible role during the 2025 edition of the Unity Cup, where Nigeria emerged champions.

Speaking after arriving in London, Ogunjimi said the decision to travel with members of the supporters club was to ensure the Super Eagles enjoy massive backing throughout the competition.

โ€œWe are here because the Super Eagles must never lack support anywhere they play. Every match and every tournament is important to us as supporters, and we are fully ready to stand behind the team once againโ€.

He further assured the players that their โ€œ12th manโ€ is fully prepared to provide the energy and motivation needed during the tournament.

โ€œOur drums, trumpets, voice, and spirit are ready. The players should expect maximum support from us because we believe in this team, and we want themโ€.

ANFASSC also played a vital role in cheering the Super Eagles at the last Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where the three-time African champions finished third.

๐Ÿšจ ANFASSC NEWS UPDATE: Victor Osimhen in line for Galatasaray Armband Next Season! ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ†

Galatasaray S.K. is heavily weighing Victor Osimhen for the club's permanent captaincy next season! Following back-to-back championship-winning campaigns, the Nigerian sensation's leadership and immense impact on the pitch have sparked major boardroom discussions.

Osimhen has been the ultimate driving force for the Istanbul giants. In the domestic campaign alone, he delivered a masterclass with 15 league goals and 5 assists in just 22 appearances, alongside netting 7 goals in the UEFA Champions League. His relentless work ethic has completely transformed the team's frontline.

With regular captain Mauro Icardi facing injury spells, Osimhen has seamlessly stepped up to carry the teamโ€™s intensity and passion on his shoulders. Head coach Okan Buruk has publicly praised his character, dropping massive hints that the striker is being lined up as an official captain due to his ability to motivate everyone around him.

Osimhen has embraced the Cimbom spirit like few others, forming an unbreakable bond with the fans and his teammates. From leading the attack with absolute ferocity to showing deep respect for veterans in the dressing room, the boardroom views him as the perfect long-term leader to steer the club toward European glory.
