Hey Ladies,
You have received the invitation for the first pool party of the season in one of these hotels and you have no idea what to wear? You are not alone. When it comes to themed parties, in fact, there are two types of people: those who immediately start thinking about their outfit to take the best pictures of the event and who, as soon as invited, thinks “Couldn’t they organize a simpler party with no dress code?”.
Finding the right outfit could seem hard but at least in case of a pool party, it’s easier than you think! You are free to choose whatever makes you feel more comfortable, following just one golden rule: DRESS TO IMPRESS.
A pool party is not the time to work on your skin colour because you'll probably get a lot of sun at the party, so take advantage of the situation and wear the California Girl’s dresses and accessories we see in the movies. The favorite items include: sunglasses that won’t let you go unnoticed, micro shorts and crop tops, colourful swimsuits (bikinis or one-pieces), sandals and slippers and the must have is the hat or the flower headband.

COMMON EXCUSES FOR NOT SWIMMING AND HOW TO BEAT THEM.
Finding time to swim is tough. Many times it is easy to let the busy schedule or cold weather be an excuse. No matter if you've been swimming for fifty years or fifty weeks, you'll have periods where getting to the pool is difficult. Here are the most common excuses for missing a swim workout and how to avoid them.
1. "I Don't Have Time to Swim."
Not having time is the most common excuse for skipping swims.Luckily, there are ways to get faster in the pool in only 10 minutes a day. This quick effective workout limits the time needed for a swim. Some other tips for having limited time is to find a pool closer to your house, maximizing efficiency. If you don't mind a health club, consider looking at large commercial gyms, they often have a few lanes adequate for a quick workout.
2. "I'm too Tired to Swim."
Everyone gets tired. Luckily, performing a workout can release endorphins, which improve mood and energy levels. If you are feeling tired, eat a light snack. On those really tiring days, take it easy in the water or perform a longer dynamic warm-up out of the water. If you have continual tiredness, consider getting more sleep or looking at your nutrition with a professional, these simple solutions often help.
3. "Swimming is Boring."
Some like the quietness of the pool, others find it boring. In today's gadget filled world, swimming can be a peaceful place. However, if you need sometime, consider purchasing a SwimP3 or another gadget for your swimming entertainment. With the rise of smart watches and health apps, there is a wide array of ways to prevent boredom in the pool.
4. "I'm Not Motivated to Swim."
Everyone has periods of low motivation. When you hit these times, consider mixing things up. Look for a Masters team or a swimming partner who could mix-up the swimming workouts. Another option is simply, do some different workouts, these are great ways to keep you a determined swimming.
5. "It's Too Cold Outside."
For those who swim indoors, you won't understand, but it for those who swim outside year-round, you know it gets cold in the winter time. Now, most places which swim outside only reach 40 - 50 degrees, but this can be chilly when you're only wearing a speedo! Luckily, the water if usually warm, so set-up a routine where you're wearing clothes on deck or doing a dynamic out of water warm-up before you hop in the water, making the transition from the cold deck to the pool easier.
6. "I'm Busy With My Kids."
I hear this excuse all too often. Now, not being a parent, I may not understand the difficulties of balancing kids and swimming, but I think there is a solution: swim while your kids workout or do an activity! If your kid is a swimmer, find another pool (so you don't "embarrass" them) where you can swim during their practice. This not only frees up time for your practice, but sets a great example for your kids, demonstrating life-long health and fitness.
7. "I Don't Look Good in a Swimsuit."
No matter your physique, walking out on deck in a tight suit is never easy. Realize everyone is subconscious about how they look in their suit, but try not to worry about what others think. Keep in mind, you're swimming to work on how you look in a swimsuit. Remember, everyone started as a beginner at some point and each day will be easier!
Everyone comes in different shapes and sizes, get in the water and join the mix!

FACT OR FICTION : IS SWIMMING REALLY THE BEST WORKOUT FOR YOUR BODY?
Is swimming really the best workout for you? Swimming as a form of exercise has many advantages. Whether or not swimming is the best workout for your particular body depends on your unique needs and preferences.
One of the often repeated comments about swimming is that it exercises your entire body. The truth of this really depends on how you approach swimming.
If you swim at a fast pace, you will experience the cardiovascular benefits of swimming. Your heart will work harder and faster to generate energy, your lungs will also strengthen as you breathe more quickly and intensely. You can also isolate particular muscles in swimming; you may want to hang on to the edge of the pool and only kick your legs. You could lie on a kickboard and move only your arms.
But no matter what kind of workout plan you choose, it is best you discover what exactly it is that your body needs and channel your workout routine in that direction.

Both running and swimming can be incorporated into your exercise program for variety and continual changes to fitness and health. If you have orthopedic issues such as arthritis, swimming may be a better alternative for exercise. If you are apparently healthy and looking for a form of exercise that will burn the most calories, choose running over swimming.

WHEN SHOULD YOUR CHILDREN LEARN TO SWIM?
As long as they feel safe, babies are comfortable in the water almost from the minute they are born. Whatever age your offspring is when you first make it to the pool, ensure that your first visit is a positive, gentle introduction to this multi-sensory world.
Once they get used to the water, the babies love it. They have much more freedom to kick and move in the water without hurting themselves.
