PRESIDENT TINUBU NOMINATES 32 ADDITIONAL AMBASSADORS
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sent the names of 32 ambassadorial nominees to the Senate for confirmation, days after he sent the first batch of three names.
In two separate letters to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, President Tinubu asked the Senate to consider and confirm expeditiously 15 nominees as career ambassadors and 17 nominees as non-career ambassadors.
There are four women on the career ambassadors' list and six women on the non-career ambassadors' list.
Among the non-career ambassador designates are Barrister Ogbonnaya Kalu from Abia, a former presidential aide, Reno Omokri (Delta), former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmud Yakubu, former Ekiti first lady, Erelu Angela Adebayo, and former Enugu governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
Others are Tasiu Musa Maigari, the former speaker of the Katsina House of Assembly, Yakubu N. Gambo, a former Commissioner in Plateau State and former deputy executive secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).
Professor Nora Ladi Daduut, a former senator from Plateau; Otunba Femi Pedro, a former deputy governor of Lagos State; Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, a former aviation minister from Osun State; and Barrister Nkechi Linda Ufochukwu from Anambra State are on the nomination list.
Also on the list are former First Lady of Oyo, Fatima Florence Ajimobi, former Lagos Commissioner, Lola Akande, former Adamawa Senator, Grace Bent, former governor of Abia, Victor Okezie Ikpeazu, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, businessman, lawyer and Senator from Ondo State, and the former ambassador of Nigeria to the Holy See, Ambassador Paul Oga Adikwu from Benue State.
Among the nominees for career ambassador and high commissioner-designates are: Enebechi Monica Okwuchukwu (Abia), Yakubu Nyaku Danladi (Taraba), Miamuna Ibrahim Besto (Adamawa), Musa Musa Abubakar (Kebbi), Syndoph Paebi Endoni (Bayelsa), Chima Geoffrey Lioma David (Ebonyi) and Mopelola Adeola-Ibrahim (Ogun).
The other nominees are Abimbola Samuel Reuben (Ondo), Yvonne Ehinosen Odumah (Edo), Hamza Mohammed Salau (Niger), Ambassador Shehu Barde (Katsina), Ambassador Ahmed Mohammed Monguno (Borno), Ambassador Muhammad Saidu Dahiru (Kaduna), Ambassador Olatunji Ahmed Sulu Gambari (Kawara) and Ambassador Wahab Adekola Akande (Osun).
The new nominees are expected to be posted to countries with which Nigeria maintains excellent and strategic bilateral relations, such as China, India, South Korea, Canada, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, South Africa, Kenya, and to Permanent Missions such as the United Nations, UNESCO, and the African Union. All the nominees will know their diplomatic assignments after their confirmation by the Senate.
Last week, President Tinubu sent three ambassadorial nominees for screening and confirmation. The nominees were Ambassador Ayodele Oke (Oyo), Ambassador Amin Mohammed Dalhatu (Jigawa), and Retired Colonel Lateef Kayode Are (Ogun). All three are in the pot for posting to the UK, USA, or France after their confirmation.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu said more nominees for ambassadorial positions will be announced soon.

Imagine walking into your friends house and before you got there, someone don kpai your fiend already
But you happen to walk in and you saw him on the ground and felt emotional and tried to help him and in the process, there were bL00d stains on you too.
Then, the people around came to hold you that you are the one who kpai your Friend.
Basically, na this thing Yoruba dey call Ogun Akoba ati Adaba
When a crime looks like you 100% and nothing you say that moment can set you FREE.
Everyone will believe you are the one that kpai that your friend, especially if you and your friend had some misunderstanding few weeks ago.
Even your own friends will quickly come out to say that you kpai him because of the misunderstanding.
That moment, only you and GOD knows the truth, that you did not kpai your friend.
Now, imagine you getting sentenced to Life imprisonment without giving the opportunity to explain and defend yourself
Do you know how heart breaking it is?
For the sake of Fair trail to all, the law needs to give you the opportunity to defend yourself and explain how everything happened and investigate what happened to know if you are Guilty or not.
During investigation, they will ask questions and someone will possibly let them know that someone visited that your friend before you came and you know, from there
The fact will come out and you will go back home a FREE man.
Law doesn't deal with TRUTH, it deals with FACTS only
JUSTICE in court is based on FACT, pls take not
And lawyers help to defend the Fact available to them.
If you commit a crime and there are no evidence to prove you commited the crime
The Fact without emotions attached is that, you did not commit the crime
And your lawyer will defend this Fact for you to get Justice based on Fact.
Shey you self don see say, Lawyers are not liars, they only defend the Fact and that is what they were trained to do.
You kpai someone and there are no single evidence to show that you kpai that person.
Yes, you told your lawyer the truth that you are the one that kpai Mr Kelechi.
But your lawyer is not trained to defend the Truth.
Your lawyer is not a pastor or evangelist that defends the truth.
He is trained to defend the Fact only, the moment you tell him the truth that you are the one that kpai Mr Kelechi, he will some question to know the Fact behind the truth.
He will hold unto the Fact and defend it

Bianca Ojukwu is the one standing before the U.S. Congress saying there is no genocide in Nigeria.
Very well. I’m only glad she was confronted with empirical evidence, survivors and victims from Yelwata community in Benue, a 99% Christian community where over 200 people, including children, were killed in one night.
The Owo church massacre was there for all to see.
The persecution in Southern Kaduna.
The daily attacks in Plateau and Jos.
The recent attack at Eruku Church in Kwara.
Yet a fellow Christian stood on a global stage and denied all these realities, reducing everything into generalizations.
Two things can be true at the same time: sadly, different terrorist groups with different agendas exist in Nigeria, but Christians have been specifically targeted and killed for years.
