Palestra and Emegha, who have both returned to full training, also need minutes after their respective injuries, while Alonso can use the game to improve the team’s defensive organisation.

I expect Alonso to work with a 4-2-3-1 against Portsmouth — a back four when defending and a back three when attacking.

I also expect Alonso to work on our defending in transition, especially the moments that leave Martínez and the rest of our defence exposed.

It’s only a friendly, but there is plenty for Alonso and the players to work on. 🔵
