A general discussion.
But wait ooo, thereโs something Iโve noticed that isnโt really happening anymore in football or should I say, it has reduced drastically. I donโt know if itโs because of the new methods of football or the evolution of tactics, but have you noticed that we donโt really see midfielders who are naturally shot takers anymore?
Back then, it was almost impossible not to see one or two sometimes even more midfielders in a team who could just fire a shot from almost anywhere. And it wasnโt only midfielders either, strikers and defenders self mad.
Serie A plenty like mad. Almost every team had somebody who could just decide to launch one from 25โ30 yards and you go dey hear names like :
Stankovic
Nedved
Maicon
De Rossi
Pirlo
Muntari
Seedorf
Cambiasso
Montolivo
Thiago Motta
Nainggolan
Hamsik
Vidal
Materazzi
Chivu
Fabio Grosso
England too self no small:
Lampard
Steven G
Scholes
Essien
Yaya Toure
Xabi Alonso
Milner
Gareth Barry
Fletcher
Huddlestone
Rooney
Drogba
Riise
Hyypia
Ferdinand, I think too and Cazorla but I think that one is more of bending not really a powerful shot taker but himself sabi hang ball.
