I F W E D O C U M E N T E D. how each of our adult students began their training with us, we would show a pattern: Most of them started with so much fear, doubt, uncertainty and a total lack of belief in their capacity.

But some have completed their training with distinctions, some have dropped out by the way and others have moved on to higher grades or done bigger things. And here is our conclusion:

With time, desire, consistency and a good teacher or school, Y O U can surpass your expectations. Take the first step, DM to join the new cohort starting in June (online and in-person).

We are on a mission to train and present Nigerian ballet students for international examinations so that they can:

📍Have a recognized certification for furtherance
📍Go on to become professional dancers and teachers should they choose to in the future.

WHEN we opened the academy in June 2024, we only wanted to stay open long enough to present the first set of Nigerian ballet students for graded examinations by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing | six adult students soon dropped to two until we finished the session with two distinctions in our first examination experience.

Then, we were awarded the Sue Passmore Award of 2024/2025 for a Broadening Access to Dance Project in Awka where we trained twenty students and achieved twelve distinctions and eight merits. We did not stop there.

We soon presented another set of five students at our island school and achieved two distinctions and three merits. And a month later, we achieved three distinctions of the five students we presented for yet another examination.

We have upcoming examinations in June and December 2026 and hopefully another in June 2027. We just opened a five-man adult ballet programme for teachers outside Lagos starting in June. And one of our students in Awka has been offered a place in a prestigious school in London. The Hammond |

Milestones are pretty but you must understand that if you never achieve another, you have already succeeded -- you have already won. And if you are still sitting on your behind, waiting for a sign or for when everything is perfect, you'll live watching imperfect people do ground-breaking things. I pray that you are one of them.
