A woman has called for DNA testing to be banned, arguing that the practice is destroying marriages and homes.
According to her, a husband should accept any child born under his roof as his own, even if his wife had been unfaithful.
âMen are always cheating, but when a woman cheats and brings in another child, itâs always a problem,â she said.
âWhether a woman cheats or not, so far youâre married to her, any child she brings under your roof is automatically yours.â
She questioned why a man would marry a woman he did not trust and later conduct a DNA test to establish whether a child was biologically his.
âThere is no need of you conducting a DNA test though. Another question is why are you even getting married to women that you donât trust?â she said.
âIf you must conduct the DNA, that means you donât trust her. Why are you married to her in the first place?â
The woman repeatedly called for DNA testing to be banned, claiming it was contributing to the breakdown of marriages.
âLet them ban DNA. Ban DNA. Ban DNA. DNA is destroying marriages. Itâs destroying homes,â she said.
She also compared modern DNA testing practices with previous generations, arguing that children born within a marriage were traditionally accepted as the husbandâs.
âOur forefathers did not conduct DNA. Any child that was born under their roof is their child automatically,â she said.
She further suggested that some women who cheat may regret their actions but choose not to tell their husbands because they fear the consequences.
âShe might have just, you know, done this thing mistakenly and she felt remorseful, but she did not tell you about it because she doesnât know how youâll react,â she said.
The woman questioned why such a situation should lead to DNA testing and accused husbands of potentially destroying their own marriages by pursuing the tests.
âAnd you will now start conducting DNA for what exactly? Peaceful marriage, you want to just destroy it with your hands,â she said.
