On behalf of the Management, Staff and Players of Lobi Stars Football Club, I extend warm felicitations to the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, his Deputy, Dr. Sam Ode, mni, the Speaker of the 10th Benue State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Alfred Emberga, our cherished fans, and the entire good people of Benue State as Nigeria marks her 66th Independence Anniversary.
At 66, Nigeriaβs journey remains one of resilience, determination and an enduring belief in the possibilities of a greater tomorrow. Like football, nation-building is a team game; it demands unity, discipline, sacrifice and the understanding that every player has a role to play.
For us at Lobi Stars, we acknowledge the attention being given to sports and football development in Benue State, particularly the welfare and stability of the club. The regular payment of salaries and the growing emphasis on the welfare of staff and players reflect the importance of keeping the human engine of the game strong and motivated.
As the Pride of Benue enters a new football season, we remain committed to rebuilding a team capable of matching the passion and expectations of our supporters. With the right structure, collective effort and continued support, we believe Lobi Stars can regain its competitive edge and once again occupy its rightful place among Nigeriaβs football elite.
Independence is a reminder that progress is never a one-man assignment. From the dressing room to the pitch, and from our communities to the national stage, Nigeria needs teamwork, and a shared commitment to victory.
On this special occasion, we celebrate the Nigerian spirit and salute every citizen contributing, in one way or another, to the growth of our dear nation.
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Long live Benue State.
Long live Lobi Stars Football Club.
Signed:
Simon Terver Ikya
