Training women who desire to lose fat and get fit using functional training and while still eating the food they love

This fitness journey?
It’s going to look different for everybody.

We don’t all want the same things in life.
So why would we all want the same things for our bodies?

When you really sit with yourself, you might realize
maybe you don’t actually want to obsess over food.
Maybe you don’t need to squeeze in one more workout
just to fix a body you don’t even like.

What if exercise wasn’t about fixing?
What if it was a place where you could just… be?

A place to be still with yourself.
To express yourself.

To push hard and also slow down.
To find out who you are.

There will be seasons where you love going hard,
building muscle, chasing progress.

And there will be seasons where you can’t.
Both are okay.

And maybe just maybe your body was never meant
to be that lean version you’ve been chasing.

What if you allowed yourself to take another route?

To build a body that is strong.
A body that is healthy.
A body that helps you enjoy your life.

Because what if fitness wasn’t about making you miserable?

What if fitness was about making you enjoy life?

There’s a false sense of humility that comes into place
when God tells you to do something and you begin to ask
“Are you sure Lord?” “Me?”, “ don’t think I’m worthy”,
“This is wayyyy bigger than me”

I’ve been there and l’ve been cautioned about this.

We think we’re doing God a favor by excusing ourselves and the inadequacies we see in ourselves. I’ll share what I learnt.

If God says go there’s a reason, it means God
sees that you have the ability he has given you. You are his temple!!

The spirit of God that was able to raise Christ from the dead dwells in you. “What rubbish are you spewing from your mouth that you’re insufficient and lack the power or ability”.

I′ve been captured by a love I can’t explain

And now you have me and I′m forever changed
I’ve abandoned everything I’ve ever known

Now I surrender my life is not my own
I belong to you I belong to you
I belong to you I belong to you

I′ve been captured by a love I can′t explain
And now you have me and I’m forever changed

Here’s what I notice: most people fight against a kind of tiredness, trying to push through as if their body is betraying them.

For my ladies this is the importance of knowing your cycle and not it is not just cortisol😩

the very thing that slows you down ( your hormones) is also proof of your body’s rhythm, cycle, beauty and strength.

Weakness and strength co-exist in the same signal.

This is simply a reminder that slowing down has its own kind of strength

“That’s why we live with such good cheer. You won’t see us drooping our heads or dragging our feet!

Cramped conditions here don’t get us down. They only remind us of the spacious living conditions ahead. It’s what we trust in but don’t yet see that keeps us going. Do you suppose a few ruts in the road or rocks in the path are going to stop us?

When the time comes, we’ll be plenty ready to exchange exile for homecoming.

when the Bible talks about the fear of God, it doesn’t suggest we hide ourselves from God.

Rather, it encourages us to draw near to Him

God’s love for us is consistent, unending and never
failing.

This should always keep us close to His side,
irrespective of our human frailties.

This book had been putting things in perspective

And this here…Having the fear of God completely changes the way one
thinks. It results in the individual having the ability to know
what God’s mind is
