1️⃣ Clear the pen of weeds and debris.

2️⃣ Use suitable mulch materials such as:
• Dry leaves
• Coconut husks
• Plantain leaves
• Grass clippings (not chemically treated)

3️⃣ Spread the mulch evenly across the pen, maintaining a layer of about 3–5 cm.

4️⃣ Avoid piling mulch too thickly, as this can encourage pests and excessive heat buildup.

5️⃣ Keep the mulch moist by watering lightly, especially during dry periods.
