MY TAKE: This bandaged on Palestra’s leg, the last game he wore this bandaged, after that game we have not seen him play again, but I hope he’s perfectly fine now. And I believe his return will be a blast… 💥

“I’ve seen transfers collapse over medicals. I’ve seen players change their minds. I’ve seen clubs fail to agree a fee.

I’m not sure I’ve seen a club agree the fee in writing, send the player for his medical and then basically say, ‘Sorry lads, we’ve just sold somebody else. We don’t need your money anymore.’

That’s the part Chelsea will be furious about. They didn’t fail to meet Monaco’s valuation. They agreed €55m. The player was doing his medical. As far as Chelsea were concerned, they’d done their job.

Then Balogun goes to Everton and apparently Chelsea’s transfer disappears with him.

Football is a very small world. Today Chelsea need Lamine Camara from Monaco. Tomorrow Monaco might need a player from Chelsea.

And I’m not saying Chelsea should be unprofessional. Never. I’m just saying if Monaco call one day asking for one of our players, I hope somebody at Chelsea still has today’s emails.

Agree the fee. Let them book the flight. Let the player arrive in Monaco. Let him start the medical.

Then Chelsea sell somebody else and call them: ‘Sorry lads, circumstances have changed. We’ve decided to keep him.’”

🎴| Kendry Paez remains at Chelsea after his loan at River Plate was cancelled. There were attempts made to find him a Premier League or top end Championship loan but nothing suitable was found.💙🔥🥶

The final international loan spots were used by Dario Essugo and Rob Sanchez.

Gabriel Slonina another who couldn’t find a suitable move in time. Both could be sold to available markets that are open but not loaned out. Chelsea are left with a 27-man squad.
