Have you heard of the Rule of Double?

I’ve lived by it for years:
If I can’t afford to buy something twice in the same day, I don’t buy it at all.

Four years ago, I bought an iPhone 13.
At the time, I had an early morning personal training job with an expatriate client.
I left Rumuigbo around 5:20am every day to meet up in Trans-Amadi by 6:00am.

One morning at Rumuola, I entered a one-chance cab.

When we got to the front of Hotel Presidential, the driver said he wanted to “close the door well” and asked me to come down.
The moment I stepped out, they sped off.

A passerby shouted, “Check your pocket!”

That’s when I realized my iPhone was gone.

No panic. No drama.
I picked up my small Android phone, called my plug, and got another iPhone 13 that same day.
Retrieved my SIM, and continued my day like nothing happened.

That moment reinforced everything for me.

Especially with personal belongings, I don’t buy it if I can’t afford two immediately.

So if you see me driving a Benz, just know, I can afford it twice.

The Rule of Double teaches:
Discipline
Delayed gratification
Financial confidence

Practice it.
Happy end of the month.

Some Etiquette for Guys

In today’s society, it feels like there’s constant criticism of men, not boys, not older men, but guys in their active, building phase of life.

And honestly, some of it comes from what we tolerate and how we carry ourselves.

There are certain things a guy simply shouldn’t do:

A guy shouldn’t argue loudly in public with strangers. It shows a lack of control, not strength.

A guy shouldn’t chew gum with his mouth open. Basic hygiene and composure matter.

A guy shouldn’t resort to begging at the slightest financial pressure. There’s dignity in resilience and problem-solving.

A guy shouldn’t accept disrespect.
He should address it calmly and firmly, not emotionally or aggressively.

A guy shouldn’t dress carelessly.
Your appearance speaks before you do, carry yourself with intention.

A guy shouldn’t litter or disrespect his environment. Discipline shows in the little things.

A guy should act fearlessly in every situation. He should be composed, thoughtful, and courageous when it counts.

If guys want better perception and respect, it starts with discipline, self-awareness, and standards.

Not noise. Not ego. Not proving a point.

Just quiet, consistent self-respect.

Some people get their daily inspiration in different ways.

Some listen to “What God cannot do does not exist.”
Some listen to music.
Some pray deeply.
Some read.

For me, it’s motivational YouTube videos
I can listen for 30 minutes and get nothing.
Then on the 31st minute—boom—one line hits.

That one line stays with me all day.
I repeat it. I move with it.
And suddenly, the challenges of the day don’t shake me.

Find your own source of daily inspiration. It can change your mood, your focus, and your productivity.

Don’t just go with the flow, because some days, you’ll wake up and your mood won’t cooperate.
And on those days, you’ll need something stronger than motivation, You’ll need that inner-beast.

Stay extremely focused.

Enjoy every moment, not just the wins.

Document the journey, every step counts.

Because at the end of it all, it's your story.

Reading is quiet, but the results are loud.
Every page you turn is a step away from ignorance and a step closer to growth.

I'm enjoying myself again
It's fun getting new knowledge, and actually practicing it

I had a conversation with my guy over the weekend, and we both agreed on one thing.
We seriously underestimated what it takes to really make it.

Not just effort
but the workload.
The consistency.
And especially the time frame.

We thought:
“Work 8 hours, grind for 3–4 years, and life is set.”
Reality said otherwise.
It takes more.
More time.
More sacrifice.
More patience.
And a whole lot of grace.

But it is what it is.
As a man, you don’t stop.
You keep showing up.
You keep pushing.
You keep pulling through.

It’s a new week.
Go out there and give it everything you’ve got.

01/04/2026

It’s a new month.

A moment to reflect on the past 12 weeks.
The wins, the lessons, the discipline, the setbacks.

Now it’s time to increase the effort.
To go harder where it matters.
To stay consistent where it counts.

Rest when necessary, but never lose momentum.

Evolve. Adjust. Improve.

The next quarter will be better, because I will be better.
Hope you will too
