Cristiano Ronaldo has made history by becoming the first professional footballer to achieve a net worth of over $1 billion (£1.04bn). According to a Bloomberg report, his massive $400 million contract with Saudi Arabia's Al Nassr was the key factor in pushing him past this financial milestone, cementing his status as a business titan off the pitch.

Watford are reportedly preparing to dismiss manager Paulo Pezzolano and reappoint former boss Javi Gracia.
Pezzolano, hired in the summer, has managed just three wins in nine Championship fixtures, leaving the Hornets 11th in the table despite earning seven points from their last three matches.
