🚨 A 15-YEAR-OLD WANTS TO LEAVE MANCHESTER UNITED… AND THAT SHOULD SCARE EVERY UNITED FAN.
JJ Gabriel is only 15, yet reports say the highly-rated Manchester United academy player wants out.
The reason has not been officially confirmed, but the talk is that the youngster is frustrated about his pathway and doesn't see a clear future at Old Trafford anytime soon.
But let's be honest…
This is bigger than JJ Gabriel.
When a 15-year-old Manchester United academy player starts thinking that his future might be better somewhere else, you have to ask yourself:
What happened to the aura of Manchester United?
There was a time when getting into Manchester United's academy was every young footballer's dream.
You didn't leave Carrington because you weren't getting enough minutes.
You stayed.
You fought.
You waited for your opportunity.
Because Manchester United was Manchester United.
But today?
Players seem to have more power.
And the academy graduates are treated almost like untouchable assets.
Look at Marcus Rashford.
After everything that happened between him and the club, including his Barcelona loan, many fans believed his Manchester United chapter was finished.
Yet Barcelona didn't keep him, he returned, and United still welcomed him back into the first-team setup.
That's Manchester United's problem in a nutshell.
The club sometimes seems too emotionally attached to its academy products.
And Ruben Amorim saw it.
He openly spoke about a culture of entitlement among some academy players.
His message was basically:
Nobody gets special treatment. Earn your place.
That was exactly the mentality Manchester United needed.
Because no player should be bigger than the badge.
Not a £100m signing.
Not an academy graduate.
Not a club legend.
NOBODY.
But Amorim is gone.
And United are once again trying to find its identity.
Now JJ Gabriel wants out.
Maybe he stays.
Maybe he leaves.
But if a 15-year-old can look at Manchester United and genuinely believe that his career might be better somewhere else…
then Manchester United has a serious problem.
The biggest clubs don't beg their best young players to stay.
Their reputation makes players desperate to stay.
Manchester United needs to get that feeling back.
Because Carrington should produce players who say:
“I want to become a Manchester United legend.”
Not:
“I need to leave Manchester United to become somebody.”
