Carlo Ancelotti deserves criticism for Brazil’s World Cup exit. Leaving João Pedro out of the squad while bringing back Neymar was one of the tournament’s biggest selection debates. João Pedro had been in excellent club form, yet he watched from home as Brazil fell short.

I believe Ancelotti let reputation outweigh current form. Choosing Neymar over João Pedro looked like a gamble that didn’t pay off, and after Brazil’s elimination, that decision has come under even more scrutiny.

Liam Delap isn’t convincing me at all. Every time he plays, he looks miles away from being Chelsea’s main striker. His movement isn’t enough, his finishing isn’t clinical enough, and Chelsea need someone who can deliver every single week.
