The Scouts in Akwa Ibom State felicitate with the State Scout Commissioner DR OBOT OBOT on the occasion of the public presentation of his book entitled "The Snake is in Court: Bringing A Lawsuit Against A Doctor For Medical Negligence".
The book has taken into consideration several cases of medical negligence ranging from misdiagnosis, lack of diagnosis, wrong administration of medications, wrong treatments and bad handwriting to prevent patience from understanding the prescription.
The event was graced with the presence of The Speaker of AKHA RT. HON. BARR. ONOFIOK LUKE as the Chairman of the event and several other professionals especially of the Law and Medical extraction.
This is a very timely and well scripted piece to enlighten the public on the ways to seek legal redress on cases of medical negligence from Doctors.

Akwa Ibom State Scout council appoints new state president and New state scout commissioner.

The Akwa Ibom state scout council on the 29th day of March, 2019 carried out an investiture on the chief judge of the state Hon. Justice Godwin J. Abraham in his chambers at the judiciary headquarters, Wellington Bassey way Uyo.
The event marked the 4th investiture of a Chief Judge in the state.
His Lordship was appointed the state scout president by the Chief commissioner, scouts of Nigeria Hon. Dave Awunah who was represented by the National Headquarters Commissioner Public Relations Dr. Chukwujekwu Ibe.
Dignitaries present at the event were the NHQC sea scout, The international commissioner, the National Executive Commissioner, the NHQC MOP, Rivers state Scout commissioner, His Lordship The Catholic Bishop of Uyo Diocese who was represented by Rev. Fr. Michael Bassey, Staff of the Judiciary led by the Chief Registrar, press men and members of Akwa Ibom state Scout council.

The event was followed by the Annual general meeting of the Akwa ibom State scout council which was presided over by the new state scout president.
The AGM ensured the dissolution of the state executive committee and the election of the new State Scout Commissioner Dr. Obot Obot Esq. .
The AGM featured a keynote address by Prof. Emeritus Reuben K. Udo. and was attended by scouts across all the LGA in the state.
