So many teachers label their classes “ALL LEVELS,” but then think that just slowing down the class, or telling them to “listen to what their body needs” is making it accessible.
No judgement. I did it too. But that’s not accessibility!
Actually taking the time to teach modifications can CHANGE the confidence, the skill, and your students’ desire to continue this practice.
I like to demo before class begins when I have new students or make everyone do the modification the first round and then continue on.
Now your students feel that they’re in flow, and not struggling to step that leg forward from 3 legged dog, find their balance, and stay in sync with the pace.
And that’s a huge start!

In the city I deal with busy people, cars, and everyone living in their own world.
In the jungle I deal with bugs, wildlife, and nature reminding me how harmony exists.
In the city I am surrounded by hot cement.
In the jungle I am surrounded by fresh air and trees.
It’s a conscious and IMPORTANT choice where you choose to live.
The impact is massive on your nervous systems and I’m just starting to feel the effects of slowing down, removing the noise pollution, and engaging with nature daily.
Even though change is hard, and we dragged our feet for a long time to make this move, my nervous system, mind, and body are so much happier and in alignment here in the jungle. 🌱🍄🐒
