Today is December 5th, international day of the volunteer. Since 2016 we have been using this ocasion to organise a parade in our beloved city of León, gathering all the different projects we support to celebrate the work our volunteers do. Unfortunately, this year there will be no parade. The last few months have been really difficult in Nicaragua, and that has deeply affected our work and our capacity to continue having a positive impact in the country. As a consequence of this we are now in a position where we cannot afford to spend money in an event like this. However, we still want to thank all the people who have joined us since our beginnings (14 years ago already!) to volunteer and help QT Leon become what it is today. You are the soul of this organisation. The last couple of weeks have been really positive for us, and we expect December to be an even busier month. We are expecting new volunteers in 2019 to help us get back on track and continue helping those who are most vulnerable. It is been tough but we are still here with the same passion, commitment, and sense of responsibility from day 1. With the help of volunteers, together with our amazing local team, we are sure that 2019 will be a great year for QT. Again thanks to all the ones who have invested the time and the effort to come to Nicaragua and help us to do what we do. QT would not exist without all of you. Gracias!
