Huge congratulations to local favourite Fernando Toldi, who delivered a home victory in front of an incredible Fortaleza crowd, and to Mikelle Coelho, who celebrated her first professional win!

And of course, a massive congratulations to every athlete who raced and helped make Challenge Fortaleza such an unforgettable weekend.

With over 3,000 athletes taking part, Challenge Fortaleza was a vibrant celebration of sport for all ages as well as marking the 300 year anniversary of this incredible city!

Today belonged to the thousands of runners. Tomorrow, the spotlight is on you, middle-distance athletes. Your finish line moment awaits!

Day 1 at Challenge Fortaleza put the runners and the next generation of athletes in the spotlight! 🇧🇷

With 2,500+ runners taking over the streets of Fortaleza this morning, the city was buzzing with energy, from the early hours.

Later in the morning, it was time for the Junior Challenge, with the youngest athletes taking centre stage and showing that the future of triathlon in Brazil is in good hands.
